My older two kids love books and they both love reading to their little brothers. I’ve noticed Jaxon looking at books by himself and know he loves books as much as the big kids. I was excited when Popar Toys sent us the Construction Machines 3-D book to review.
This book is unlike any book I’ve seen before. I’m used to the pop up books where you flip a page and something comes out 3-D like and those are fun. These 3-D books take it to a new level with sounds and movement that are amazing. What you do is install the app on your phone/tablet (Android or iOS) that has a camera or you can install the program on your computer if you have a webcam.
Jaxon was in love with the book before I even showed him the 3-D animations with my computer. The pictures were bright and colorful and he loved all the machines in it. Once I sat him on my bed with my laptop and showed him the 3-D machinery moving with each turn of the page his eyes lit up! He now will bring me the book and my webcam to tell me he wants to look at the book. The 3-D graphics aren’t just popping out…they move and show you how they work and you can hear the sounds they make as well. There are also games you can play…but my computer isn’t the best with it and my phone is too small (a tablet would work better) to play the game of Ball Breaker.
The book itself is hardcover, the pages are nice and thick so they will hold up well. Our book has been in the hands of Jaxon (age 4) and he’s usually really rough with books but ours still looks new. Some of the machines featured in the book are: bulldozers, excavators, cranes, backhoes and more. There are 36 pages that will not only entertain your kids but educate them as well! This book combined 3 things Jaxon loves, trucks, books and watching animations.
