There is something incredibly fun about diving into family roots. Seeing it all in one place, having that special overview of your blood line. It is such a special thing to share with our children! Luv is always curious to see just how deep her roots go.

With MyHeritage I’m slowly building up our family tree. I’m waiting on my mom to bring me the information she saved after my grandmother passed away. That will open up an intricate root system. But for now, I’m manually adding in what I know. I love the SmartMatch feature on MyHeritage especially! It allows me to copy info about relatives that is already in the system, which saves me time and makes the idea of forging a family tree not so intimidating.

August: Osage County tells the dark, hilarious and deeply touching story of the strong-willed women of the Weston family, whose lives have diverged until a family crisis brings them back to the Midwest house they grew up in, and to the dysfunctional woman who raised them.

August: Osage County finally makes its appearance on the big screen in select cities on December 25th and everywhere else in January. I am looking forward to this movie, for sure! From the previews and clips I’ve seen so far it looks like a must-see with a stellar cast.

  1. I might be most like Barbara. Running some, trying to stay in control. But then the whole family has issues so maybe I’d not want to place myself as any of them. Most have secrets, run, or pretend life is great and never get your happily ever after, or if you do it is some version of. I can’t wait to see Julia Roberts. I miss seeing her as a very active actress, like she was before she had chiidren.
