It is chilly out there! I thought I was cold but a friend of mine just beat me to the chill by posting a weather forecast image citing the current temperature in his area at 29˚ below zero! So yes, it may be chilly here but it is ridiculously cold elsewhere. After living in the south for a while, I have become intolerant of the cold. I despise it. Surely, I’ll go out and enjoy fort building, snowman making, sledding, and other wintry activities but I’m always sure to bundle up before heading out the door. However, finding clothes that are comfortable and warm yet thin enough to prevent bulkiness and still stylish is much easier said than done. Thankfully, I recently came across a company that has tons of items that fit all of these requirements.
Chilly Jilly is a wonderful, little company that prides itself in its USA-made clothing. With everything from pants and jackets to blankets and gloves, the Chilly Jilly line of clothing has everything that you could possibly need.
Then again, the mindset of preparedness might be helpful. Oftentimes, it is when we are out and about that I end up getting, well, chilly. Typically, I have a car packed full of necessities for the kids – a change of clothes, blankets, and, yes, even jackets. For me, on the other hand, bringing along a jacket for the chance possibility that I may need it often slips my mind. That is where Chilly Jilly comes in.
Now, normally, you’d expect clothing items to come boxed or on a hanger, right? Well, the Chilly Jilly products don’t come in either. Instead, they come in tiny, nifty little bags! Each bag is about the size of a wristlet or small clutch and houses one of the wonderful Chilly Jilly products. These little Chilly Jilly bags are the perfect size for storing in the car, tossing in the glove box, or carrying in your purse and/or diaper bag.
Not too long ago, Chilly Jilly sent me their Jilly Jacket to try out. In addition to it being convenient and perfect for travel, it is amazingly comfortable. The Jilly Jacket is, virtually, the blanket with sleeves. Made of a special blend of polyester and elastin fabric, not only is each item incredibly soft but they are all wrinkle free.
The Chilly Jilly Jilly Jacket is available in two colors. I opted for the off-white color for myself. As beautiful as the black option is, it wouldn’t have worked well with our white pets. In either color, however, one of my favorite aspects of the apparel is its uncanny ability to go with nearly every single outfit. Whether you’re all dolled up for a night on the town or braving the cool outdoors at your kids’ sporting event, Chilly Jilly will keep you warm… and stylish.
