When it comes to decorating, I have an eclectic style. I love the color teal (and have something in each room with that color), I collect antique furniture, glassware and Fox prints. Actually, I love anything with that flair of age. A piece has to make me smile, it has to be interesting and it has to find a place in my heart. I found the perfect print that does all of that from Art.com.

I had so much fun pouring over the different subjects at Art.com – maps, still life, fashion, education and my favorite category, humor. That’s where I found Thierry Poncelet’s Count Tolstoi.
Isn’t it lovely?

This print is 16 x 20 in size, produced on acid-free, archival watercolor paper with a textured surface. Known as a Gouttelette premium giclee print on paper, it’s accompanied by a certificate signed by the master printer. It’s lucky number 13! The color and tone is of outstanding quality. Count Tolstoi features a terrier’s head on a male sitter. It’s hilarious, it’s unique and it is absolutely perfect in my home!

This print is the work of Thierry Poncelet, who has been creating contemporary art for over 20 years, his eccentric canine portraits give new life to those old ancestral portraits found in second-hand stores or flea markets.
The first Poncelet Aristochein came about when he was repairing an antique portrait for an art dealer. He substituted his own golden cocker’s head for the lady’s ugly and unexpressive face – the art dealer loved it so, he commissioned more! He’s since been featured in galleries throughout the world and his exhibitions have delighted the art and dog worlds for years.

A number of different breeds are used for these portraits.
I find his work absolutely stunning. It’s interesting and absolutely point on – as a dog lover, Count Tolstoi spoke to me. It’s regal, classy and most definitely a conversation piece. Plus, I feel like Count Tolstoi looks a lot like my little Pippa.
Art.com has the world’s largest collection of art! The process in ordering from Art.com couldn’t be simpler. Shipping is fast and with the many different ways to shop – by room color, for instance – you are bound to find the perfect print for your home!

Choose to frame the print to suit your needs. I used a local store, which was quite the process as Count Tolstoi was a custom size. When it was all said and done, the framing cost right around $110.00, a fair price for this beautiful print that retails for $199.99, or let
Art.com frame it for you. They have a wide variety of frames and glass selection, just like what you will find in a framing shop.
