Which body pillow would I need?
Before my hip replacement surgery, I did a lot of research. I wanted to make sure I had everything I would needed to ensure my comfort and mobility. I read forums, Facebook groups and articles on hip replacement surgery, and one thing that kept popping up was pillows. Well, I already had a bunch of pillows – wouldn’t that be good enough? As I looked around though, there was one pillow that I saw that I couldn’t stop thinking about. The Comfort-U Total Body Pillow by Moonlight Slumber kept calling my name. It is so much different than other body pillows, as it is “U” shaped, and can be used in so many ways.
What the heck – it’s in a small bag!
When I received my Comfort-U Total Body Pillow, I was a little confused. It arrived vacuum sealed in plastic and it didn’t much resemble a pillow! When I removed the plastic, however, the pillow quickly “poofed” up to full size. Pretty neat!
I am smitten with this body pillow. I use it in different ways and shapes almost nightly. Last night for instance, I had the “U” portion under my knees, and the sides were up around my head. It not only gave my hip and knee a much needed break, but it was incredibly cozy. Did I mention how my knee (the knee on the opposite side of my replaced hip)? Well I had an MRI and it is a hot mess. Lucky for me, I already have the Comfort-U Total Body Pillow, as elevating and icing my knee is needed. It is no problem elevating my leg several different ways with my amazing pillow.
So many uses
This body pillow would have been so helpful years ago when I was pregnant. I was so uncomfortable in the latter months, and this would have been a dream come true. Honestly, this pillow is something every household should have, whether or not surgery or pregnancy is involved. It can be twisted and contorted in so many different ways. I know this will be incredibly helpful for those nights when heartburn is getting the best of me and I need to elevate a bit.
