Valentine’s Presents for hubby – any ideas?

I love my husband dearly – he is the light of my life {my children are too of course}. But every year, I struggle with what to get him for Valentine’s Day. What are some good Valentines Day gifts for men? Yeah, that is my question too. Women are easy to shop for – flowers, candy and jewelry are all wonderful presents but men are a bit more difficult {with everything it seems!}.

I could get him some cute or funny boxer shorts, but they would probably amuse me far more than him. Besides, I doubt he would wear anything “cutesy” – he is a manly man! He is not big on flower arrangements, for himself at least. Ties? Eh, been there, done that. He does love chocolate, so that is an idea. Other than candy, I am just plain out of ideas!

What type of Valentines Day presents do you typically buy for your husband/boyfriend/partner? I would love to hear your ideas, because I am really struggling here and Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.

Help!

    1. Things Remembered does have really nice personalized items. I got him a BBQ grill set for Father’s Day last year and he loved it. I really like the chocolate remote too – thanks for the suggestion!

  1. I bought my husband a pillow.
I know weird but I am going to say ‘sweet dreams’ on it.
I have a hard time with gifts for my husband as well. Birthday, anniversary, Christmas I have a hard time .

  2. I’m in the same boat. This year I got him a fruit basket with pistachios, chocolate cherries and jelly beans. He wants to be heathier so a little candy with the fruit. Kindof lame but thats all I could think of.

  3. You could always get candy cakes, if you want to go that route. They have them here: fromrileywithlove.com/index.html

I personally love gift baskets, so there is dvdgiftbaskets.com. You can get baskets with one DVD or more, and they come with candy and goodies of that nature too. Various prices, so you have many choices!

  4. I usually don’t buy a gift. I’ll buy a card or make one. Then I’ll fix some of his favorite foods for a Valentines Dinner or if we have some extra cash, we’ll go out to a restaurant he likes. And I’ll give him a homemade coupon for something special like a back rub (or other romantic gesture).

    1. This is an excellent idea – back rubs (and other assorted coupons lol) are always a good idea. Thanks!

  5. See’s chocolate truffles. He LOVES them and they are a real treat for him since we do not buy them often.
Then I pick up some candy for the kids there.

    1. Those are my hubby’s favorites! One of his first jobs was working as a stock boy at See’s…can you imagine?

  6. I got my hubby a personalized NFL jersey and a wallet. I’m considering a gift basket of all the small things that he uses daily..lotion, cologne, etc mixed in with a few goodies like his favorite candy, minutres of vodka, brandy and maybe a few flirty things. I love Valentine’s day! I try and do something small that says I love you everyday the week leading up.

Lucy’s out hopping come by when you get a chance closertolucy.blogspot.com

  7. Does your hubby like to grill? Amazon.com has some nice remote thermometers for grilling meat.

    I love these–They customize, too: candybouquet.com/bouquets/

And a little more abstract–if he usually plans stuff for Valentine’s Day, switch it up–plan a day about him. Like dinner at a cool place that isn’t fussy if that’s what he likes. Maybe taking him out to a movie that he wants to see, maybe go on a brewery tour/specific interest museum.

Good luck! I hope you find the perfect gift. 🙂

    1. Oooh these are excellent ideas! Just a day all about him would be perfect. I love your ideas – thanks for sharing!
