Ahhhh, springtime….Grass turning green, trees budding with new leaves, and flowers blooming. Nice sunny weather so we can open the windows and air out the house. Going for walks or playing outside in the yard. Oh yeah, and don’t forget the wind, pollen blowing everywhere, dogs shedding their winter coats, and being hit with the full force of allergies. It seems I have been suffering from a stuffy nose, itchy watery eyes, and a scratchy throat off and on for a couple of months without any end in sight. What I wouldn’t give for a little allergy relief!
I recently had the chance to try out an
Air Angel from
Air Oasis. The Air Angel is a small mobile air sanifier (sanitizer and purifier) that destroys up to 99% of air allergens, odors, and germs in a room. It even has a range of up to 250 square feet, so it covers quite an area! I was excited to put the Air Angel in our house and see how well it works.
My youngest daughter is the unfortunate one that takes after me when it comes to allergies. It seems like every time my allergies start acting up, she ends up with a stuffy nose, cough, or sore throat too. And it is worse for her at night, where she coughs constantly and is restless. Her bedroom was the perfect place for the Air Angel.
As I said above, the Air Angel is small and does not take up much room. I put it on top of a bookcase in my daughter’s bedroom so it was out of her reach. It even comes with a mounting bracket that adheres to the mounting surface. Then all you have to do is plug it into an outlet and turn it on. There are three setting for both the fan and ion production (which sanitizes and purifies the air) – from low for low-pollutant areas up to high for high-polluntant areas. We kept it on low and it is so quiet that the only way I knew it was running was because of the lights on top. So far, it seems to be helping keep my daughter’s allergies at bay – while I have noticed a lot of pollen blowing around outside recently and have been feeling stuffy when I am outside a lot, she has been doing well and even sleeping better at night (maybe I need to start sleeping in her room too!). I hope this continues through the rest of the allergy season and beyond!

We put a little sitting area in our basement… it’s okay, the kids do puzzles and games there, and watch TV. A son visits often, and even sleeps there. But no matter what, it IS still a basement and always more damp and colder than the rest of the house. It could use some help. I would for sure use this down there. And in the guest room after another son, kid and dog come over for their extended visits… I can smell that doggy odor in there after that.
