Animal Soap Review and Giveaway

I do not like using products that contain harsh chemicals – I try to avoid these as much as possible for the health and safety of my family.  I try to use products that are good for mother earth too.  I am so happy to tell you about some wonderful soaps I recently had the opportunity to try out.  Anima Soap is a company that has the same values as I do.

The planet is a complex web. When we use products that cause damage to the human system we damage every system on the planet. They get into the soil, the water, into the food supply and back into us. Anima Soap is a company that is good for people and is committed to protecting that which is sacred. People now have access to a bar of soap that is of high quality, in balance with the planet and priced with bars of soap most commonly used, a grapefruit scented organic based bar for $1.89. Soaps of this quality, made with organic oils, cost $5 a bar and upwards. This business model sacrifices profit margin in the interest of doing what is good and right. Anima is the latin word for soul. This company has a soul, a conscience. So long as it exists, it will produce products that put human and ecological values first.

Anima Soap has two types of soap – Grapefruit bar and Baby bar:
Anima Grapefruit bars contain these ingredients:
Water, certified organic palm oil, certified organic coconut oil, grapefruit essential oil, rosemary extract, lye
Anima Unscented Baby Bars contain:
Water, certified organic palm oil, certified organic coconut oil, certified organic jojoba oil, rosemary extract, lye

I am enjoying these soaps very much.  They are both gentle on the skin, and the scent is very light.  I am enjoying the Baby Bar as much as the Grapefruit Bar, even though I don’t have a baby.  It is hard to explain but both of these soaps feel “clean” – there is no sticky residue. They clean perfectly without being harsh.  My daughter has been using both of these soaps too and she even commented on how much she likes them.  That says a lot coming from a 13-year old!

The other thing I love is that these soap bars from Anima Soap are only $1.89 each!  That is a wonderful price for a product that is so good for the body and earth.  So often, I find myself spending more money than I care to when buying “good for you” products.

    I typically dont leave my first comment on a giveaway, but this one…I just cant resist!

    I am interested in these soaps because Im trying to go more chemical free. I had a baby 6 mos ago, and Id like to protect him from what I can, while I still can, you know? Those baby bars seem AWESOME! Even if I dont win I think I might snag a few for my little guy!

  15. I would love to try the soaps because reading the ingredients, not only do I bet it smells wonderful, they're also made with "natural" ingredients, and not harsh things other soaps are made with that dry out your skin, etc.!

  19. We are trying to find companies who are ecological and place our bodies as "sacred" as the word anima means. For TOO long we have had NO choices and we are paying for what we have used ON or put into our bodies. I find myself now ill and overly sensitive to products and foods due to toxic overload. I would be very excited to use some of the ANIMA products!

  141. I love hand made soaps. My boyfriend is a bit of a product hound. I swear if I buy body wash,he goes through an entire bottle in 3 days. Bar soap seems to slow him down a bit,lol.
