Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry detergent? Thank you Arm & Hammer!

I cannot begin to tell you how delighted I was to learn about Arm & Hammer’s new detergent – Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry detergent. I have been using their regular scent-free detergent for quite some time now, and although I love it, and it does help my sensitive skin, I really miss the clean fragrance that goes along with freshly laundered clothing and towels.

The new detergent by Arm & Hammer is for sensitive skin, BUT it also contains a skin-friendly fresh scent!  I believe this is the first sensitive skin detergent I have ever seen that has a fragrance. Usually they have no scent at all, which is the only downside to using them when doing laundry.

Both my husband and I suffer from harsh and/or heavily scented detergents.  He tends to get a rash and itching around his stomach where the waistband of his boxer shorts sit, and also on his legs.  I do not have itching as much as I get rashes. I notice it mostly on my arms and it is so annoying, painful (and embarrassing!), when I have red splotches due to an “unfriendly” detergent that I have used. Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry detergent has been clinically tested to be gentle on sensitive skin.

My husband was happy too, when I told him that we can still use fragrance-free detergent, but thanks to  Arm & Hammer we can still enjoy smelling fresh.  I think this benefits us both because when we are hugging or snuggling, there is just something comforting about shirts that smell clean and fresh. I didn’t realize how much I had missed this while using sensitive-skin/perfume free detergent! I am happy to report that we have not had any bad reactions at all while using this detergent.

As if I need more to love, Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus Skin-Friendly Fresh Scent Laundry detergent cleans really, really well. I am glad that I do not have to sacrifice effectiveness just to enjoy the scent. It has removed the stains and spots on all of the clothes I have washed with it thus far.

This new Arm & Hammer detergent has actually made my laundry routine a little easier.  My children don’t have skin sensitivities, thank goodness, and they like scented detergent.  Previously I would wash their clothes separately, using a regular detergent with fragrance.  I would wash my clothes and my husbands clothes, towels, etc. with the fragrance-free detergent.  Now I can simply wash all of our clothes together, which is not only easier, but it reduces the clutter and numerous bottles in my tiny laundry room.  I am one happy camper!

Arm  & Hammer Sensitive Skin detergent is a liquid formula which is HE compatible (thank goodness for this – our washer is an HE!).

  1. Oh good to know! We don’t have sensitive skin problems but I like to use sensitive products for some of my linens. Arm & Hammer is a brand we purchase often.

  2. I have to be so picky with the detergents I use because my kids are allergic to so many. I will definitely be trying Arm & Hammer. Thank you for the introduction.
