I hope you are enjoying my Arm & Hammer posts! As part of the Arm & Hammer Switch and Save Challenge Blogger Team, I certainly am enjoying trying different products and letting you know my thoughts on them. I have told you about Arm & Hammer Toothpaste and baking soda so far, and now I am happy to introduce you to the third product – Arm & Hammer Plus OxiClean Power Gel Laundry Detergent!
I have been using this detergent for a couple of weeks now, and I am extremely satisfied with it. I am happy that is okay to use with HE washers (it is also available for standard washing machines), and I love it’s cleaning power! What makes Arm & Hammer Plus OxiClean Power Gel Laundry Detergent so powerful? It is a combination of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and twice the supercharged OxiClean Stain Fighters in every drop. It is kind of like a super whammy for tough stains 🙂
Since my family is pretty rough on clothes (and since I have teenagers – need I say more?), I was more than ready to put it to the challenge. I have to admit that I am included in this group that is rough on clothes. You see, I do a lot of cooking, and almost every time I get busy in the kitchen, I cut myself. My husband is used to the “ouch” sounds coming from me, and knows to rush in and check on me. Of course, I am more worried about if any blood got on my clothes. Of course I managed to cut myself shortly after receiving the Arm & Hammer Power Gel, and I figured it was a good time to give it a try. I threw my shorts in the wash, along with a few other items that should be washed in cold water, and waited anxiously to see the results. I am happy to report that the blood stain was long gone, and my shorts came out nice and bright. *Whew*.
Now my husband tends to drip things on his shirt when he eats (because he eats too fast). I don’t have this problem, but I do end up with grease spatters on my shirts frequently. It is not uncommon for me to start a load of laundry after we are done cooking/eating. Using hot water is best for grease and food stains, and I love the results after cleaning these types of stains with Arm & Hammer Plus OxiClean Power Gel Laundry Detergent.
Of course there are plenty of stains I have yet to tackle with the Arm & Hammer detergent, including grass, soil, clay, and more. Since I don’t play tackle football, I don’t know if I will be the one with grass stains, but I am sure my kids can help me out in that department.
I look forward to sharing more information on Arm & Hammer Plus OxiClean Power Gel Laundry Detergent (and I will also be posting more Visa gift card giveaways!). Stay tuned!

You cut yourself in the kitchen too? I constantly do that, but it’s usually just when opening a package or something!
I haven’t used that deterg in a while, but now I’m remembering that I liked it!
I use Oxyclean and baking soda in my wash everytime, but have never tried a laundry detergent that has them already in it. It probably would save me some money. HaHa
Next time I get a coupon (cause you know I don’t buy anything without one) I will have to try this. =)
I think blood is one of the hardest stains to get rid of
