I don’t know about where you live, but here in sunny California it has been brutally cold lately. Our heater is working overtime and we are doing everything we can to stay warm. I have a great winter coat, but to go along with it, I need a hat. I have been looking at winter hats online, and have found quite a few cute ones. Of course I need more than just one {a girl’s gotta have matching hats for every winter outfit right?}. While looking around online for winter hats for women, I couldn’t help but wonder why I didn’t think of them for Christmas presents. I think they will make excellent gifts and I am going to add women’s hats to my list of ideas for presents.
What is the weather like where you live? I am personally anxiously awaiting the arrival of Spring. I can’t wait to see sunshine again. But in the meantime, I will make the best of the cold weather with snuggly winter clothes and warm winter hats!

I just had a hat on yesterday! Yes, I feel like a wimp but am freezing here in the SF Bay Area. Good tips on keeping warm!
I am with you 100%! I am so ready for spring. It is cold here, not snowing or raining, but cold. I am sure in the dead heat of Texas summer I will be begging for this cold winter, but for now, I am begging for Spring! I just went to the store and stocked up on Hot Chocolate and Popsicles…
Hot chocolate sounds so good – now I need to run to the store!! I know, it gets so hot here in the summer too, and a little cool air will certainly sound good then!
Question….When you say brutally cold in CA can I ask what the temps are? Here is DE we got 6 inches of snow on Wednesday and are in the mid to upper 20’s. Not to bad for this time of the year.
Well..for us it’s been brutally cold…in the 30’s! We don’t have any snow in this part of California though…
We are finally warming up to freezing. It’s been 15-25F for about a week and a half so getting up to 32 feels quite pleasant really. Looks like Monday we’ll hit 37…..aaaahhhhh. But I’ll take cold over scorching any day. At least when it’s cold you can bundle up, but there is only so much you can take off when it HOT before you are no longer decent 😉
ROFL…true enough! I think that often – especially when it is over 100 degrees in the summer. I can only take off so much {well, the hubs might disagree}, but I’m sure the neighbors wouldn’t appreciate me walking around outside nekkid!
You must be in northern CA, ’cause we just got back from Disneyland and it was awesome weather! Nice enough to swim outside in unheated water and wander Disneyland without jackets. I’m in Oregon and we are normal-cold for this time of year….raining and 40’s or so. Ahhh…to be back in Anaheim 🙂
LOL yep – I’m in Northern California! I’ll bet Disneyland was beautiful – I’m so glad it was sunny for you!
I am ready for summer, and that’s because we don’t have a Spring. If I lived in California like you then yeah, I’d be ready for Spring too. Today was a nice warm spring day for us, 50 and raining..But I was in my coat and gloves. The kids were all in their shorts without jackets. YUCK.
Oh and I think hats make great gifts too!
Well…you guys do get some strange weather 🙂 This has been a really cold winter for us, and I’m tired of it 🙁
We are at a BALMY 28 today with sunshine, but has been one of the coldest winters (steadily WAY below freezing) in many years. I hate the cold but der…have been living in WI my whole life. WHY? WHY? WHY? My older kids are threatening to move someone warm and I would miss them terribly but I’d visit of course…often!!!
I don’t see much for stylish hats here, mostly built for warmth. Here, unless you are into winter sports like skiing, snow mobiliing, etc…we hide out inside!
Balmy 28? Wowza! It has been the coldest winter here in awhile too…ugh! My Dad is from Wisconsin too!
I don’t like winter or snow so it’s a wonder why I live in Kansas. We’re in the Kansas City area and we’ve been hit with snow and still have it. I will say this winter has not been near as brutal as last winter. I really can’t wait for spring.
Boy I know it! I live in the panandle of FL and all last week it was in the twenties with a high in the forties.
Not a fan of the cold, that’s for sure!! We just had an ugly storm come thru so the weather is nippy!!
