“Get Your Betty On” This Holiday Season with Betty Crocker Baking Goodies

This time of year makes me so happy.  I love decorating for Christmas, shopping for the perfect gifts for my family and friends, Christmas carols, spending time with loved ones, and even snow (well…sometimes).  And the thing that I love most about this time of year is the holiday treats!  Cookies, candy, fudge, nuts, popcorn balls, and more – yum, yum, yum! Baking for the holidays is easy with Betty Crocker Baking Goodies!

But as much as I enjoy eating holiday treats, I am not really ever excited about taking the time to make the treats myself.  As a busy mom, I want to spend my free time with my family instead of stuck in the kitchen.  This year though, Betty Crocker™ is giving me a hand with all of my holiday baking needs.

Betty Crocker Baking Goodies
I received a gift basket full of all sorts of Betty Crocker™ items – Sugar Cookie Mix, Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, Whipped Vanilla Frosting, Cooking Icing in white and chocolate, Gel Food Colors, gingerbread cookie cutter, Holiday Recipe Booklet, tablet stand, mixing spoon, oven mitt, and a “Get Your Betty On” apron.  It looks like I am all set for some baking!

My little helper put on the apron and we got to baking both the sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies.  The cookie mixes are great because all you have to do is add an egg and butter, stir it all together, drop it on a cookie sheet, and bake – super quick and easy.  No long list of ingredients needed, no measuring, and no mess.  We did roll out the sugar cookies and my daughter loved helping me cut out different shapes.  It was great to spend time with her while baking!

We also had fun decorating our sugar cookies.  I put on the white Cookie Icing (and red gel on the candy cane cookies), while my daughter added sprinkles to the Christmas trees and gingerbread men.  Again, I loved that she was able to be involved in this activity and I know that she enjoyed it as well!

Finally, the best part about baking – tasting our goodies!  As I expected, the cookies were delicious.  I don’t think they will last long around our house.  Betty Crocker™ definitely came through for me this holiday season – spending time with my daughter and making quick, easy, and delicious treats!
