Bommerscheim Buddies are Buddies for Life!

Paige has a stuffed pet that almost never leaves her side.  His name is Boa and he’s a buckwheat stuffed dog.  I can’t wash him (hmmm, water and buckwheat.  I’m afraid Boa would explode in my washing machine!),  if I were the least bit handy with a sewing machine I’d rip a seam, dump the contents, then wash.  But I’m not and that is way too much work. So, Boa, he’s obviously well loved and pretty gross.  Ew.

I’ve had the chance to check out Bommerscheim Buddies and I’m thoroughly impressed!  In fact, it’s genius!  Created by sisters Joan and Pat Bommerscheim, they lovingly hand-sewed a plush long-eared Buddie for their babies with an additional cover that could be washed or replaced when a Buddie has been loved on too much.  It was a family thing and now, they’re giving other families a piece of themselves.

Bommerscheim Buddies  are stuffed friends with removable covers for easy washing.  Choose a second cover of the same fabric (and your little one will never know the difference!) or pick up something different for a completely different look.

Made in the USA (I love that!), Bommerscheim Buddies would make an excellent holiday gift!  They are affordable at $19.99 and you can personalize them for an extra $10.  It’s one of a kind and a stuffed animal that will be loved for years and years to come!  The Buddies are free of buttons and other choking hazards.  There are over two dozen patterns/fabrics to choose from, different fleece colors, the super soft flannel and Camo!

We received the Teal Stars Flannel and a Bright Purple Fleece cover.  Paige prefers the purple fleece, but I love them both!  They are fun colors and  wash very nicely.  I placed both covers in a garment bag and washed them with Paige’s sheets and blankets.  It’s suggested you lay flat to air dry, but I tossed the garment bag in the laundry and they came out softer and with a familiar smell for Paige.
