Caldrea Hand Lotion and Mrs. Meyer’s Laundry Detergent Review

caldrea

I have been using Caldrea products for almost 7 years now.  When I had my oldest in 2005 I used the Caldrea Sweet Pea Surface Cleanser on all of her toys and areas she ate.  The smell was heavenly!  At that same time I bought the Stainless Steel Spray which I still buy to this day.  It works wonderfully getting the water marks and little finger prints off my appliances.  I have tried different scents over the years and have found my favorite to be Lavender Pine.

Caldrea’s products are not tested on animals and they are paraben-, formaldehyde-, ammonia-, chlorine-, phosphate-, petroleum distillate- and phthalate-free.  For my review I was sent Caldrea’s Palmarosa Wild Mint Hand Lotion.  My hands are in water all day it seems either washing dishes or washing my hands after wiping bums.  I put the Caldrea Hand Lotion next to my kitchen sink and have been using it multiple times a day since it found it’s home.  It moisturizes perfectly without being a heavy or greasy lotion and leaves you with a light scent that is quite refreshing.  I wondered if the mint in it would make my hands cool but it does not.  Currently it is on sale on Caldrea’s website for $7.88 and to me that is a great deal for this earth-conscious products!

And another product I love!

I never paid attention to the ingredient list on the back of my cleaning products until I had children. Years ago I used ammonia to clean the vinyl flooring in my home because it was what I saw my grandmother use. A lot has changed with me since then. I found Mrs. Meyer’s quite by accident when I was at a local supermarket near my home. They were having a sale on the Countertop Spray and I gave it a chance. Since that day so many years ago it is a staple in our home. I use it for everything from cleaning up the kitchen, the bathroom, spills on the floor, and in a pinch I will use it to scrub my toilet. The Lemon Verbena scent is very natural and fresh. I love coming home and just inhaling how wonderful my house smells after a morning of cleaning.

Ms. Meyers detergent

I was thrilled to review Mrs. Meyer’s Lemon Verbena Laundry Detergent. I had not tried it before as I normally stuck with detergents that were for sensitive skin. My girls have varying degrees of sensitive skin and through trial and error found that those work best. We gave the Mrs. Meyer’s a shot first with my clothes, then my husband’s, and finally the girls items. It was successful and we had no reactions to the product. Again, I love the Lemon Verbena scent and it is just so light on the clothing that it makes it smell fresh. The detergent is 97% naturally derived and a load takes only 1/2 capful per load. It cleaned our clothing well and my laundry rooms smells divine when I am our washing clothes. A 64 ounce bottle of the laundry detergent is approximately $15.99 and will clean 64 loads of laundry. Mrs. Meyer’s Laundry Detergents can be used in both HE and top loading washing machines. Find all the products you need to keep your home naturally clean on Mrs. Meyer’s website.
