Adult coloring books for Mother’s Day
About 2 years ago, my daughter and I started coloring. I remember we were at the store and we thought it would be fun, so we each got a coloring book and ink pens. Little did we know that we would get hooked so easily. We ended up purchasing more books (a lot of them!), more ink pens, gel pens and colored pencils, and we haven’t stopped coloring since.
I personally find coloring to be very relaxing. I can color while I am thinking (I do some of my best thinking then), but I can also color while we watch television.
I was delighted, naturally, when the nice folks at Calendars.com offered to send me a couple of coloring books. Surprisingly enough, I didn’t have these already. When they arrived, I might have even squealed with delight!
Color Me Stress-Free {$16.99}, by Lacey Mucklow and Angela Porter, is a really different type of adult coloring book.
One thing that really stands out to me with this book is that some of the pages have partially colored designs {see photo below}, which allow me to finish them, and practice shading techniques. It is also interesting to see what colors have been used on these designs.
This highly giftable adult coloring kit contains a 96-page Vitality book of exquisite designs, eight soft-leaded vibrant colored pencils, and a sharpener. Fill in the meditative designs with vibrant shades of yellow and orange and let the stress of daily life fade away!
I love the variety of bright colors and the designs are really intricate, which is fun. I get lost in my coloring when I work in this book. What’s nice is that the pages are perforated – so if you want to frame any of them, you can do so.
At first I wasn’t sure if there were enough colors with this set, but when I opened it, I was surprised to see that some of the pencils are two-sided.

actually they would be for my 11 yr old grandson,,i gave him one for christmas and he loved it,,he isnt very athletic so he does dance and colored the pages and gave them as gifts to his friends
