Have you heard of Hunter Hayes? If not, you are really missing out – he is an incredibly talented singer. I know you are probably familiar with Child Hunger Ends Here by now, and I am so excited to announce that Hunter has teamed up with childhungerendshere.com, in an effort to spread awareness about child hunger.
As I mentioned in my previous Child Hunger Ends Here post, it is easy to help end child hunger. Just look for the bright red pushpin next time you are shopping. When you enter the 8-digit codes from these packages, not only will ConAgra Foods donate one meal to Feeding America (the monetary equivalent of) but you will also have the chance to ask Hunter Hayes a question! From now through August (2014), Hunter Hayes will personally answer one question (using the winner’s name!) in a video, which will be posted on the Child Hunger Ends Here Facebook page. Gosh I love this guy – he has such a big heart!
Hunter, along with ConAgra Foods and P&G, is using the power of his beautiful voice to spread awareness about the child hunger that exists here in our own backyard. One in Five children in America might not even know where their next meal will come, or when. This is just heartbreaking.
In addition to the “Ask Hunter” promotion mentioned above, for each download of Hunter’s single, “Invisible,” on iTunes (if you haven’t heard this song, please listen!), Child Hunger Ends Here will donate the monetary equivalent of one meal to Feeding America (the nation’s leading hunger-relief charity), up to 1 million meals. Now THAT is impressive…and you get to add a heartfelt song to your music library.
Ways you can help:
- Join the Child Hunger Ends Here Facebook community.
- Follow along on Twitter and Instagram at @ChildHungerEnds.
- Look for the red pushpins when shopping, and enter those codes!
- Take the quick reader survey, I would greatly appreciate it!
- Pin the image below!
Codes can be entered at www.ChildHungerEndsHere.com, or even right here on Eighty MPH Mom (look to the ride sidebar!).
So what questions might you ask Hunter? I would love to know at what age he started singing. Or maybe how old was he when he first sang in front of an audience.
If you love Hunter Hayes as much as I do, this is such a fun way to “meet” him, while also helping to end childhood hunger.
