You will easily come across a number of highly-skilled and well-experienced driving instructors in Birmingham, as well as several other locations around the UK. An instructor must have patience and understand that you are getting behind the wheel for the first time and hence, you are nervous. Talk to your instructor before he starts the training and get to know what kind of a person he is. Make a note of his attitude, behavior, etc. If you are not comfortable with him, you can freely ask the driving school for a change. Also, ask the driving school if they have got a background check on their instructors.

If they do, have a look at their classrooms and equipment they use in the process. Don’t enroll yourself in a school where there are disturbance and noises.

Long, long ago my driving instructor was my father. (60 years ago). Good tips for today.
When my daughter learned to drive, she took a Driver’s Ed course through her school for course credit. I don’t think they do that anymore through the schools. I guess we’ll have to find a driving school for my grandsons once they reach that age!
This is very good information for when my son and daughter need to take driving school classes. It is so important to take driver’s ed and learn from a reputable school.

Your advice to check out the cars that the driving school provides in order to make sure they have a model similar to what you’ll be using later on is a good idea. This could ensure that you’re prepared for your test and for when you travel on your own. In order to do this, you’d probably want to visit the school in person, which could also help you meet the staff and ask them questions in order to see if they’re able to provide you with the training and skills you need to drive safely.
I had a tough time learning to drive. I’m just such a naturally nervous person and my driving instructor yelled and scared me.
