Cooper Tires
When the opportunity came up to review Cooper tires, I think my husband was more excited about the proposition than I was. He was already a fan of Cooper tires. He has a set of the Cooper Discoverer S/Ts on his truck. So I found him leaning over my shoulder saying that Cooper tires would be perfect for our daughter’s car.
Despite the fact that my husband really likes Cooper tires, I wanted to do a little more research before I accepted the opportunity. I asked people I knew as well as did some research on the internet and found that people spoke very highly of Cooper tires to include Consumer reports ranking Cooper tires in the overall top ten tires manufacturers in the world. Consumer Reports ranked Cooper CS5 Grand Touring in the top three of all season tires. They were still significantly less expensive than the other top ranked tires.
Since we live in an area that experiences some significant weather, I was really interested in an all-season tire. I found that Cooper makes an excellent all-season tire in the CS5 Ultra Touring tire. Without getting too deep into specifications, the Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring tire is rated for 60,000 miles with both “A” Traction and “A” Temperature ratings. In short, that means you get a high mileage tire with excellent traction and ability to withstand high temperatures.
Our daughter recently moved to the area to go to school, and we were a bit worried about how she would do in the snow that we get here. We weren’t used to snow in California, so it was important to us that she have the best tires she could for traveling back and forth to school when roads are slippery, uneven, etc.
After the tires were installed, we found that the car not only gripped the road well, but it rode smoothly and didn’t have a lot of road noise which can sometimes be an issue with all-season tires.
While not a subject of this review, my husband is very happy with the performance of the Cooper Discoverer tires on his truck – they have helped tremendously during some pretty dicey situations.
FINAL THOUGHTS
We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Cooper tires! We feel good knowing that we are riding on quality tires from a reputable brand. In fact, their vision says it all:
We do not take the loyalty of our customers lightly. We must earn their business every day by continuing to deliver on our value proposition and helping our customers win with their customers—the end user consumers who drive on our tires and count on us for performance.
As an American company since 1914, our focus is on making quality tires that will perform well and last for thousands of miles. With more than a century in the tire industry, we know that tires matter, and we’re committed to proving it.
We sleep a little better at night, knowing that our daughter’s car now has safe all-season Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring tires.
We are definitely a Cooper Tires family!
BUY
You can buy Cooper tires just about anywhere. Cooper tires are sold through independent tire dealers, regional retailers, wholesalers and national retailers. We found our Cooper tires at our favorite tire store (thank goodness!).

I know next to nothing about these things, lol, but I’ve heard of Cooper Tires! I know they have a good reputation. So, I would definitely consider them if I need new tires.
A good set of tires is so important for all cars!
I need tires that last for a long time and have good traction on snow. I will check out Cooper tires.
I probably should be looking for new tires as mine have never been replaced (except the one that blew out on the highway!) Good tires are very important for road safety. I will definitely be looking into Cooper tires
My son is shopping for tires for his car. I’ll mention this to him.
To be honest, I’d never given that much thought to the brand of tires that I use. But after reading your post I’m convinced and will request Cooper next time I need a tire change.
I could use some new all season tires. Will look into these.
