New Products from Crayola

Every year at this time, I get a lot of questions from family members about what types of gifts they should get my girls for Christmas.  It is usually pretty easy for me to name a few items based on their interests.  This year, I found myself constantly saying “anything they can use to color, draw, or do artwork.”  Both of my girls will spend hours at their art table, creating drawings, paintings, and more to hang on the fridge, put in my office, or give to their teachers.  I know that any presents containing crayons, colored pencils, markers, coloring books, doodle pads, or anything else art-related will be used at our house! I am excited to share with you, some new products from Crayola!

If your children are like mine, and if you are looking for some fun art products for gift this year, then you should check out some cool new items available from Crayola!  We received the Crayola Air Marker SprayerCrayola Emoji Maker, and Crayola Art with Edge coloring books.  My girls were thrilled to try out all of these fun products!

The Crayola Air Marker Sprayer allows you to use markers to create airbrush art!  It comes with an electric pump with a hose and sprayer nozzle, five markers, alphabet and other design stencils (like a sun, dragon, heart, stars, and more), and blank paper for creating some fun designs.  Once you choose your stencil, all you have to do is plug in the machine, insert a marker into the nozzle, turn it on, and press the trigger to spray your design!  The Crayola Air Marker Sprayer is designed for older children (ages 8 and up), and since my girls are younger and I did not know how messy it could get, we used it down in our basement on the concrete floor.  We did not have any problems with the sprayer though, and my girls really like the airbrush look to their designs!

I had a lot of fun with the Crayola Emoji Maker – it comes with all of the items needed to make sixteen emoji markers!  The emojis include a dog head, paw prints, cat head, single heart, two hearts, flower, googly eyes, pizza, and eight different smiley faces!  The markers were really easy to make.  After choosing an emoji stamper tip, I mixed up the color (it comes with red, blue, and yellow ink, as well as a measuring tube and chart telling you how much of each ink to use to make additional colors).  I then put the marker pieces together and used the snapping tool to snap them all in place.  There are even labels for the markers and two boxes to store them in.  Again, this product is designed for children a little older than mine (ages 6 and up), so I did most of the work, but my girls had fun helping out and of course, using the markers afterwards!

The Crayola Art with Edge coloring books are designed for teens and tweens.  They are more like the “grown-up” coloring books that are so popular right now.  We received six coloring books – Sugar Skulls, Say What?, Zombie Daze, Ridiculousness, Graffiti, and Batman.  My oldest daughter enjoyed coloring in these books, especially the Ridiculousness and Say What? books.  I think there were more interesting to her than regular coloring books.  I liked how they were made of smooth paper (not the somewhat rough paper found in regular coloring books), and they pages were perforated and easy to tear out.  After a couple hours of coloring, my daughter had a whole pile of pictures for my husband and me!

I always enjoy using Crayola products and was happy that my little artists got to try out these new items.  Check out all that Crayola has to offer this holiday season.  The Crayola Air Marker Sprayer sells for $29.99, the Crayola Emoji Maker sells for $19.99, and the Crayola Art with Edge coloring books sell for $6.99 each.  There are also two Crayola Art with Edge coloring kits (with coloring pages and fine line markers) that sell for $14.99 each.

  1. I love how crayola has some seriously diverse art products, it’s nice to get the kids involved in different art mediums and be creative and keeps them entertained for awhile rather than just regular coloring.

  2. Crayola products are always great gifts. I am happy to see them making the color books for older kids/ young adults, my daughter is a teen and she likes to color.
