Crystal Wash 2.0
Laundry is, by no means, one of my favorite chores, but there is a new product that is about to change the way we do laundry – Crystal Wash 2.0!
The original Crystal Wash is an alternative to laundry detergents that are often harsh on your skin, your wallet and the environment. Using Crystal Wash is simple. With every load of laundry, just place the Crystal Wash balls in your washing machine and simply let the washer run as you normally would.
Here is a video that explains Crystal Wash:

So how do Crystal Wash balls work? Inside Crystal Wash balls are bio-ceramic beads that do all the work. The beads are engineered from natural minerals that have strong antibacterial and antioxidant properties. Once inside the washer, these beads raise the pH factor of the water to above 8.5, which allows for easier stain removal. Most detergents produce a pH level between 6-9, but this is only achieved with chemicals. Crystal Wash also produces hydrogen peroxide, which disinfects clothes, thus killing harmful bacteria and unpleasant scents. For those of us with kids, we know how they often come back from playing with unexplained stains, so I certainly feel better knowing that those stains are completely taken care of!

You are probably thinking that these probably only last for only a few washes, right? Nope – the Crystal Wash balls last approximately 1,000 washes! Between the cost of the product and the cost of detergent for the same amount of washes, you can save over $200, which is a big chunk of change. All you need to do is charge the balls/beads every 30 days or 30 washes. You do this by simply setting them out in the sunlight for a few hours, and then they are ready to go again!
One of my favorite features of this product is that it is environmentally friendly. Whenever I am looking for a new cleaning product, one of the major factors I look at is how natural it is. Since there are no harsh chemicals, the contaminated water waste is greatly reduced. Water is also saved, as the number of required rinse cycles is reduced, which consequently lessens CO2 production.
Crystal Wash is already a pretty amazing product, but those at the company are striving to make their product even more user-friendly. The Crystal Wash 2.0 Kickstarter campaign starts today, and the company has announced their intent to upgrade their product for those of us that use smartphones.

With the Crystal Wash 2.0, a sensor will be placed inside of the device, which uses Blue Tooth compatibility to send information about your wash to an app on your phone. Many great features will be easily presented to you on this exciting new format, including real time pH levels, recharge and wash complete alerts. How cool is that? For those of us that juggle household chores on a daily basis, timing laundry loads can be tricky (and frustrating!), so receiving a reminder on our smartphone as soon as a load is complete is a great time saver. I love that you also don’t have to worry about remembering when to charge the Crystal Wash balls, as you are provided with a handy reminder.

There will also be a nifty little section on the app that shows you how much money you’ve saved over time. One feature I am completely stoked about is the label decoder. I always forget what each symbol means, so being able to have that readily available as I do laundry will be sure to save time and possibly hair-pulling.
I cannot say how excited I am to be able to use this app once it is released. The Kickstarter page shows an estimated delivery date of this new product to be September of 2015, and I’m certainly marking my calendar!
If you would like to make a pledge to their Kickstarter campaign, that would be awesome. The project will only be funded if at least $100,000 is pledged by Friday, March 13 2015 6:00 PM PST.
I hope you will check out this great product, their original product and the Kickstarter page for Crystal Wash 2.0! If you are interested in purchasing these awesome laundry balls, you can do so on the Crystal Wash website.

I’ve never tried cleaning with wash balls.
I really want to try these!
I have had sensitive skin my whole life, so the less dyes, perfumes and harsh chemicals I use in my products, the better! I would love to try something like this.
Would be nice to replace all the detergent I have been buying by using these
