Our set arrived just in time- I had just came home from the grocery store. There are pieces of just about every size from 16 oz through 64 oz. The GreenBag came in a 20 piece set. And just like with the GreenBoxes™, they can be reused! Each bag can be used 8-10 times!

As you can see, there really isn’t too much of a difference on day 1 vs day 7. If I would have kept them in their original plastic container, they would have likely been completely unusable by day 5.
The holidays are here and I’ve got one big goal during this December season- to treat my body well by feeding it a lot of fruit and vegetables. It can be so hard this time of year! We are triple booked with holiday parties on the weekends. I’ve decided that I can have my cake and eat it too, which is why I’m following the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time, I eating nice and clean. Think big salads with grilled chicken on top and yummy vegetable frittatas. The other 20% of the time, I’m going to enjoy all the season has to offer. And I’m going to do it without guilt because when the weekend is over, I’m going right back to my eating plan.
Tips for using GreenBoxes™
- They are dishwasher safe, but only on the top rack.
- They can be used in the microwave, but the container will be hot. Handle with care.
- Do not use on the stove or in the oven.
The GreenBag have also been a hit at our house. My favorite way to use them is with our pears. Our family loves pears, but they ripen so fast! The GreenBags™ have helped them stay fresher longer, allowing me to not have to make a midweek run back to the grocery store. This has been great for us- since we’re on a tight food budget and it seems as though ever trip to the grocery store always results in us buying more than what we were just going to stop in quick for!
Tips for using the GreenBags™:
- Your produce should be dry before you place it in the bag.
- Your fruit/vegetable should contain moisture (the moisture that builds up in the bag can be wiped out, try to keep the bag as dry as possible).
- Assign each bag a type of produce and reuse. Make an apple bag, pear bag, and so on.
- Instead of using twist ties, fold the over the top of the bag.
