What does winter mean to you? Cold weather? Snow? Here in Wisconsin, winter brings us both of these things, and a little something else too: dry skin. I don’t know if it’s the frigid air outside or sitting inside all day with the heat cranked up, but every winter my hands go from soft and smooth to dried out and reptilian. Yes, I said it! My hands look positively reptilian in the winter. And let’s face it, reptilian hands? Not a good look.
It’s not just the way they look, though. The skin on my hands starts to feel tight, sometimes even turning red or cracking. Ouch! My husband’s hands get even worse. He’s not one to complain about anything, but his laments over his dried out skin are a constant every winter.
Lotions and moisturizers are great when your skin is run-of-the-mill dry. But when your skin gets this dry? The lotions just won’t absorb. You’re left with dry skin and a greasy layer of lotion on top. I’m so excited to finally find a lotion that works for us and our extreme skin dryness: Dial NutriSkin Lotions with BioNutrients.
Yes, Dial, soap maker extraordinaire, now makes lotion. And it is fantastic! I’ll be real with you, we’ve spent lots of money on finding a moisturizer that works for us, without much success. I was a little bit skeptical about Dial NutriSkin at first, but both my husband and I were really impressed with it. As I type this, I keep pausing to rub my hands (is that creepy?)–I’m just that amazed that it’s February and they’re not all craggy and dried out. I love the fact that I can use this lotion and I don’t have to wait 10 minutes before using my phone or the computer–I rub it in and it absorbs right away, without a trace of greasiness. As soon as I apply it, I can feel the difference. And as someone that has an aversion to strong-smelling lotions and perfumes, I appreciate the subtle, clean scent Dial NutriSkin has. Not flowery, not fruity, just clean.
What makes Dial NutriSkin different from other lotions? Well, it’s not just a moisturizer, it’s like a multivitamin for the skin, providing you with a daily dose of nutrients that work to keep your skin soft and supple. Each of the four varieties of Dial NutriSkin contains a different blend of BioNutrients:
Dry Skin with Aloe – Vitamins C, E (antioxidants), Amino Acids (protein building blocks), Omega 3 (balances moisture), Vitamin F (improves elasticity)
Extra Dry Skin with Shea Butter (my favorite!) – Omega 3, 6 (balances moisture), Vitamin F (improves elasticity), Vitamins A, C, E (antioxidants), Amino Acids (protein building blocks)
Soothing with Chamomile – Beta-Glucan (soothing property from oats), Vitamins A, C, E (antioxidants), Amino Acids (protein building blocks), Zinc (synthesis of collagen)
Men’s – Magnesium (energizes skin), Niacinamide (conditions skin), Amino Acids (protein building blocks), Vitamins A, C, and E (antioxidants)
All four varieties of Dial NutriSkin provide you with 24 hours of moisture (no need for constant reapplication!). Dial says that users will have healthier looking skin in 3 days, but for me, I think it was about a day and a half after I started using NutriSkin that I noticed a difference.
Dial NutriSkin is available nationwide at grocery, drug, and mass retailers in three sizes: 3 ounces ($2.49), 12 ounces ($4.99), and 21 ounces ($6.99). If your skin is anything like mine, you’ll want to stock up on those 21 ounce bottles and hunker down for the rest of winter (living in Wisconsin, we’ve got a good 3 months or so to go!).

I’m always looking for new lotions. Especially the ones for dry skin. I’ll have to look for this Dial brand next weekend. THANKS!
My husband loved the mens lotion that was attached to a bottle of mens shower gel. The problem is that I can’t find it in stores. I’ve found all kinds of the women’s scents, but no mens. Why?
Hmmm I have no idea! Even in the men’s aftershave/shaving section they didn’t have it? If I find out, I’ll post it here!
I love the dial nutriskin lotion. My problem?
The bottle.
I always prefer bottles that have caps at the bottom so that gravity takes hold and the lotion flows out top down. This bottle does not have this feature. Not only that, but every bottle I’ve ever used (and I may be opening the pump wrong) causes the pump to swivel so when my hands are all covered in lotion and I push the pump it spins as I push down and shoots lotion everywhere but in my hand. What a mess. What a waste. Anyone else have this problem? And if so, did you come up with a fix?
