Do You Want to Build a Snowman? Disney On Ice presents Frozen

How many of you are fans of Frozen?

Okay, okay, that’s a silly question, right? Thus far, I’ve yet to meet one person that doesn’t love the movie… or music… or dolls… or clothes… or toys… shall I continue?

My family and I were actually a bit late to join the bandwagon – err, sled. You see, having boys, our lives are filled with all things chaotic, loud, muddy, and, well, cliché “boy things.” As much as we love Disney here in our house, they were always more of the Lion King type as opposed to Cinderella. When Frozen came along, I wasn’t too enticed to jump right on it and we actually didn’t see it while it was in theaters. However, our one son’s class was doing a performance that included one of the songs from the film and, despite having not actually seen the movie, I caught him singing the song in his sleep a handful of times. That, of course, was my cue to make a Frozen shopping trip. The first day that we brought the DVD home, we had to have watched it on repeat a good ten times, at least! To say that we were hooked would be an understatement.

Now, flash forward to today and the Frozen mania is still going strong. With an infinite amount of “Let It Go” covers and parodies across the internet to the mass hysteria for Frozen themed toys and even Halloween costumes, to the adult crossovers on Once Upon a Time, Anna and Elsa’s addition to the Disney parks, and even word of a new Frozen sing-along release, it has certainly been and still continues to be the year of all things Frozen. How could they possibly top the incredible being that Frozen has now become? Make it truly “frozen” of course with help from none other than Disney On Ice!

For those of you that may have not heard about Disney On Ice, it is an amazing show! Not only does it allow you to witness, first hand, the playing out of a storyline that you already love but it brings your favorite characters to life through a fantastic display of artistry in the wonderful world of ice skating.

Officially dubbed #FrozenOnIce, the well-known tale of Anna and Elsa will be coming direct from Arendelle to a city near you!

The heartwarming Academy Award winning tale you love is now LIVE and skating into your town. You’ll be magically whisked away into the wintry world of Arendelle, where you will be dazzled by amazing special effects and astonishing skating. Sing and dance along to inspiring songs, including “Let It Go.”Join royal sisters Anna and Elsa, the hilarious snowman Olaf, Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and the mystical trolls as they journey to discover that true love is ultimately the most magical power of all!

The entire show is hosted by, none other than, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, and will even feature special guest appearances by some of the most beloved Disney princesses and characters from favorites Disney-Pixar films such as Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and even The Lion King!

To this day, I still remember my own first trip to see Disney On Ice and it was, by far, one of the most magical and unforgettable experiences of my childhood. I am so thrilled that the Disney On Ice showings have continued over the years bringing that true Disney magic and joy to children across the world. The memories from these events truly do last a lifetime and I cannot wait to give my own children that same experience.

Here, on the East coast, the chill in the air has already begun and we will surely be welcoming back the winter weather all too soon. This year, however, we will be embracing it with open arms as Disney On Ice presents Frozen skates into New York’s own Barclays Center!
