DIY With Darby Smart- Review

When I first met my stepdaughter, she was a very shy three year old.  I would always bring a craft with me to do with her.  By using a simple activity like making a craft, it helped her be more comfortable with me, and allowed us to get to know one another.  Now, over four years later, crafts are still a special bonding time we share.

Once I was introduced to Darby Smart’s DIY kids projects, I was very excited to try out their fun and unique crafts.  We were able to try out the Project Kid Deluxe Craft Box and the Neon Mobile.  Both of our kits came in super cute Darby Smart packaging, and were ready to use right out of the box.

For the Neon Mobile, the instructions were easily-accessible online.  The craft was fun for my seven-year old to assemble by herself.  She had fun working with the different color patterns that were made as it was being put together, and enjoyed being able to complete the entire project with pretty much no assistance from myself.  The mobile came out great and looks wonderful in her room!  It just so happens that the colors of the mobile match the colors in her room as well!

The Darby Smart Project Kid Deluxe Craft Box comes with a TON of great items to help you create a myriad of crafts.  I felt like I was opening up Mary Poppin’s purse as I pulled out paint brushes, embroidery hoops, decorative edge scissors, pom poms, and much more.  You could easily stay busy with these crafts all day.
