From the metal Gear series of high performance lights, it’s pretty outstanding. This flashlight produces 618 lumens of light from a single LED chip, in laymans terms, it’s a powerful, powerful beast.
The beam delivers distances over 1,100 feet. Tell me that isn’t awesomely amazing!?
Powered by 6 AA batteries, the Dorcy Metal Gear XLM flashlight will run over 5 hours. Plus, there are two light settings – so if you run at the dimmer setting (173 lumens) you’ll get over 25 hours at 200 feet.
Constructed of aerospace grade anodized aluminum, the Metal Gear XLM Flashlight has a polycarbonate lens, so this flashlight is durable. Extremely durable! Additionally, the LED flashlight is o-ring sealed against dust and moisture, yes, it’s weatherproof. I can’t forget the side mounted push button switch and wrist lanyard.
The true test was with my husband. Would he be in awe of this flashlight? Yes! The Dorcy Metal Gear XLM has been claimed by him and I may never see it again! Oddly enough, I’ve never seen him so giddy over a flashlight.
