Now that summer is here, I am sure we will be spending a lot of time at the pool and the lake to stay cool. While my girls are happy to just run around in their swimming suits, I prefer to cover up a little bit. However, I still want to be comfortable and wear something that I wouldn’t mind getting wet.

With
Dunstan Surfwear boardshorts, I have found the perfect summer cover-up. Each pair of boardshorts is completely custom-made, including the style, fabric, fastener, detail, and measurements. They are truly one-of-a-kind!

It is so easy to create a unique pair of Dunstan Surfwear boardshorts. First, you choose whether you are designing for an adult or child, and a male or female. Then you choose a style. There are several styles available, with different features such as length and fit. The next step is choosing a fabric. There are lots of solid colors and patterns to choose from. You can even pick several different fabrics for different areas of the shorts (front, back, each side, and the waistband). Once you are happy with your fabric selection, you go on to the finishing details such as the fastener (snaps or ties) and stitching. The last step is to enter your measurements so you can ensure that the boardshorts fit you perfectly. All of the boardshorts are made to order and handsewn at the Dunstan Surfwear facility in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka.

I went with the Kolonnawa style, as it was described as having a “longer cut with a perfectly comfortable fit” that “can be layered over a bikini bottom.” I spent some time looking at the various fabrics and trying out different fabrics on different areas of the shorts before I decided on a cute all-over pattern in dark pink, black, and white, with a black waistband. It was easy picking the finishing details (brass snaps and black stitching) and putting in my measurements. Once I finished designing my unique pair of boardshorts, it was just a simple matter of submitting my order and waiting for them to arrive!

It did not take long to receive my boardshorts, considering the fact that they had to be custom-made and shipped from Sri Lanka. I was so excited to get them out of the box and try them on, and I was not disappointed! They looked exactly like I pictured, and they fit great. The material feels sturdy, so I am sure that I can wear my boardshorts often without them getting worn out or falling apart. I am sure that I will get a lot of use out of them this summer, at the pool or lake or even just wearing them around the house.
Dunstan Surfwear boardshorts run between $85 and $95, which includes shipping costs (unless there are additional duty or custom fees charged by your country). You can design and order your own unique
Dunstan Surfwear boardshorts online now. Enter the code “DunstanSummer” at checkout and get two pairs of boardshorts for the price of one! They would make a great gift or a fun treat for yourself this summer!

I’d let my husband pick his own print or color. I know he would like the ones with the longer legs. I gave up shorts a few years ago, when I got to old to look good in them. You know, wrinkly knees and such. My husband still has pretty legs, though.
