We did a Taquito Taste Test here at home (even without an official Superbowl party, we just had our own little party!). We enjoyed all of the flavors so much, but we all had our favorites. Mine was the Nacho Cheese, my daughter’s favorite was the Jalapeno Ranch, and the hubs liked the Cheesy Pepper Jack and Beef & Cheese. Sure to be a hit with everyone during the big game, are the new Shell Shockers and seasoned, battered taquitos!

We were all impressed with the quality of El Monterey Taquitos. We have tried several Taquito brands before and trust me, they are NOT created equal, at all! I can say with confidence that these are definitely the best taquitos of the big game.
We chose two dipping sauces to spice up the El Monterey Cheesy Pepper Jack Taquitos even more – hot wing sauce and bleu cheese dressing. Of course we included celery sticks on our platter, just to cool things down a bit. Oh my…were these tasty! In case your mouth isn’t watering enough, how about a close-up look?
Next we tried the El Monterey Jalapeno Ranch Shell Shockers. Since they are Ranch flavored, and also have a little “bang” to them from the Jalapeno peppers, we decided that a side of Ranch dressing for dipping would be a good idea. The combination was delightful. These flavors go so well together. I cut a large jalapeno pepper in half and filled it with the Ranch dressing. Festive, right?
Last but certainly not least – we enjoyed the Nacho Cheese Shell Shockers and Taco Seasoned Beef & Cheese Taquitos. To add color and make my platter “pop”, I served salsa and sour cream in hollowed out orange and yellow bell peppers. I sliced thin strips with the top half of the peppers, as they are great for dipping too.
What else do I love about El Monterey Taquitos? Well in addition to the great selection of flavors, I love that they are frozen and are easy to have on hand for last minute parties and/or guests. Or even a family movie night! They are super easy to transport too, so if you are in charge of bringing appetizers to the party, you are all set, thanks to El Monterey.

I got some of the ElMonterey Taquitos yesterday at Safeways for the game tomorrow. They were on sale and I had a coupon make these $4 dollars a box. We are having a dip for these and they are such delicious finger foods.
