Eucerin Skin First Ambassadors, eucerin skin first pledge

I hope you have enjoyed the Eucerin Skin first posts, and hopefully you are doing everything you can to protect your skin while you are outdoors enjoying everything that is summer!  Today I have something fun to share with you – it’s all about blueberries and how beneficial they are to your body!

Now that summer is in full swing, everyone is spending more time outdoors. Did you also know that July is National Blueberry Month? This wonderful fruit is a great source of antioxidants which are important for your skin and other vital organs. In addition to helping protect your skin from the sun by using an SPF, avoiding the mid day sun, and wearing protective clothing, there are many other ways to proactively keep your skin healthy. Eating right, exercising and getting enough sleep also help promote healthy skin. Since your skin is the barrier for all of your other organs and the body’s first line of defense, it makes sense that you should feed it the proper nutrients.

If you’re going to any type of a summer event, consider bringing a bowl of fresh blueberries as a dessert. Not only are they delicious, but they’re rich in antioxidants, substances known to fight free radicals that can wreak havoc on the skin. In addition, don’t forget to pack Eucerin’s Everyday Protection Face SPF 30 and Body SPF 15 Lotions. They are great options for everyday use and lightweight.  I have been using Eucerin lotions for months now, and I can honestly say that they are my favorite.  Not only do they protect my skin from sun damage, but they lock in moisture, making my skin feel AWESOME!  I am diligent about using Eucerin face lotion with SPF 30 each and every day, to protect the delicate skin on my face from sun damage and to prevent wrinkles.

and I know avocado, tomatoes, olive oil, and black beans would all be good for our skin and know that cayenne is good for sweating and clearing pores, so I would say the recipe for “Texas Caviar” would be a good recipe for keeping skin healthy and supple during the summer!

1 (15.5 ounce) cans black beans drained and rinsed
2-3 medium size tomatoes, chopped (try to remove most of liquid and seeds)
    1 medium sweet onion, chopped
    1 chopped jalapeno pepper
1 packet dry Italian dressing seasoning
    1/2 cup olive oil
    1 cup canned baby corn
2 avocados – peeled, pitted, and chopped
    2 cloves garlic
Cayenne, black, and white pepper & Lawry’s season salt to taste!

I serve with organic blue corn chips!
