Technology is great. You can keep in touch with people all over the world, you can share ideas and create things never before possible. One of my favorite uses for technology is the ability to allow children to learn while having fun. Enter Ozobot, a unique robot that allows you to create, problem solve, and explore your environment.
Ozobot is the world’s smallest intelligent robot. At just over an inch tall,
Ozobot allows users to create paths, labrynths, and playgrounds for it to navigate.
Ozobot can either be controlled by instructions given to it by the user, or will move on it’s own, and can even memorize up to 500 moves!

My seven year old is just getting into exploring all technology has to offer, and she has been VERY interested in robots. She couldn’t wait to open up the
Ozobot Dual Pack when it arrived! The pack comes with a pre-printed path for you to see what it can do from the get-go, and also has a few cards that have different brain teasers included. Using the colored path put before it,
Ozobot will travel faster, slower, turn around, play a light show, and many other things.
After calibrating and testing out our
Ozobots on the provided path, my little one and husband enjoyed using markers to create a very intricate path. My kiddo had a blast coming up with all different mazes and configurations for our
Ozobots to try out.

We kept adding onto our path until it became too large for the counter, so we moved to the floor and let the baby watch as well!
Ozobot also has different interactive apps you can download for Apple and Android devices. OzoDraw lets users create paths, mazes, and designs electronically using Ozobot’s color-coding system. OzoLuck is an interactive game where the user explores a labrynth with their Ozobot. OzoGroove lets users choreograph their Ozobot’s moves to music.

Our
Ozobot Dual Pack also came with different covers to put on the
Ozobots to change their look. Charge time for the
Ozobot was super quick as well. From taking the
Ozobot’s out of their packaging to fully charged was a snap and they were ready to go. The battery life of the
Ozobot’s is great as well. We’ve played with ours for over an hour and they’re still going strong.
Ozobot is a fun, user-driven robot that can be used by children and adults. I admit that I had quite a bit of fun coming up with my own path for the Ozobot to explore. With the holidays coming up, this would be a perfect gift for a kiddo or a tech-enthusiast in your life. I highly recommend letting this tiny robot have a place in your home.
