Welcome to the 2010 Holiday Gift Guide event with Eighty MPH Mom and Slice o’ Heaven! We will be featuring some fabulous companies and products throughout the event to help you with your holiday shopping and preparation. Of course there will be plenty of giveaways too. Get a jump on gifts, and stop by each day. Many days we will be featuring the same item or company, which will give you two chances to win!

Today’s Featured Company:

I have been a fan of Klutz products for many, many years. Both of my kids always enjoyed their fun, unique kits which allowed them to be creative. Since my kids are older now, they haven’t had a kit in awhile, but that changed recently when we received the Klutz Window Art kit from Klutz for the holiday gift guide. My daughter was so excited, and eagerly started working her magic.

I was always happy when my kids chose to play with toys that encouraged their creativity, and Klutz is a great source for these types of items.

How-to books from Klutz come packaged with the tools of their trade (from juggling cubes to face paints to yo-yos), and are designed for doing, not just reading. “We think people learn best through their hands, nose, feet, mouth and ears. Then their eyes. So we design multi-sensory books,” Cassidy says. The appeal of this hands-on approach is borne out by sales figures; Klutz is a fixture on U.S. book and toy bestseller lists, and is available in 24 countries around the world.

The Window Art Kit from Klutz comes with patterns and paints that are applied on plastic sheets, then they can be tranferred to windows, mirrors, etc. after they have dried. Here is my daughter having fun:

She was quite entertained! She made some really cute things, then applied one to the bathroom mirror {and it’s still there!}, and one on our kitchen window:

Cute right? She really loved this set.

Klutz has so many wonderful arts and crafts kits, and other fun things for kids of all ages. If you want a truly unique holiday gift for that special child in your life, I hope you will consider Klutz!
