Have a Festive Halloween with Oriental Trading!

Disclosure review
It’s now October, and three months of fun and exciting holidays are finally here!  First up is one of my favorite holidays – Halloween!  This year, my family is celebrating Halloween with the help of Oriental Trading.  When I hear “Oriental Trading,” I think of stickers, toys, and little trinkets for school and goodie bags.  However, as I just discovered, it offers so much more this Halloween season – including costumes and accessories, indoor and outdoor decorations, tableware, toys and games, crafts, and candy!

The most important part of Halloween is definitely wearing a fun costume!  There are costumes for the whole family – men, women, boys, girls, toddlers, babies, and even dogs!  Or if you are looking to dress up with others, there are couple costumes and group costumes.  There are all kinds of costumes too – animals, fairy tale and storybook characters, superheroes, pirates, witches, and more.  I let my girls pick out their own costumes this year, and they had a tough time choosing from all of the ones available!

police
My oldest daughter chose the Police Officer Halloween Costume for Kids ($20.98).  It came with a shirt, pants, hat, belt, shiny badge, and handcuffs.  It will be a great warm costume for trick or treating on Halloween night, as it can get cold here once the sun goes down!  I let my daughter try on the costume and play around for a little while, and she did not want to take it off!  I think she will enjoy dressing up and pretending to be a police officer even after Halloween!

bee
My youngest daughter went with the Bumblebee Halloween Costume for Kids ($17.98).  This came with a yellow and black striped dress, with a fun skirt and sparkly wings that attach to the back – perfect for a cute little bumblebee!  This costume is not as weather-appropriate as the police officer costume for the end of October, but I think it will be adorable with a pair of black leggings or tights and a black cardigan sweater with the wings attached.  The best part of the costume was seeing my daughter’s smiling face when she put on the dress and wings and twirled around.

pillows
lights
We are also making our house festive for the Halloween season with some cute pillows and lights.  The Zipper Mouth Characters pillows ($14.99) come with a Frankenstein and skeleton skull.  Both are made of soft felt with zippers and buttons on them.  We placed them on a chair in our living room, but they usually end up underneath the girls’ heads as they lay on the floor watching TV or playing on their tablets.  The strand of Pumpkin String Lights ($8.98) are a cute way to dress up a wall, mantle, or railing.  I hung them in my daughter’s bedroom, and she loves to lay in her bed at night with the lights on.  When she falls asleep, I can easily switch them off.

baskets
Finally, handing out treats will be more fun with these super-cute Spider Web Baskets ($4.48).  The baskets come in a set of three – black, orange, and purple.  Since Halloween is still a few weeks away, I have filled the baskets with sweet treats for my family.  I even took one basket to work with some candy for my co-workers.  The basket never stays full for long, and I have gotten a lot of compliments for my seasonal and festive basket!
