Many of us consider the month of November a time where decorating gets overlooked. We’re all gung-ho for Halloween and when that’s over the Christmas items come out full force in the store. I still like to consider fall and Thanksgiving decorating before I bring out my reds, greens and jingle bells though.
Kohl’s has plenty of festive ways to keep the autumn colors and scents going for a bit longer with home décor that will make your house feel cozy. We have visitors coming to stay with us mid-November and with the help of a few Kohl’s signature brands, I was able to decorate our guest bath in a fun fall theme that will make them feel welcome. The best part is, it didn’t break my bank account either 🙂
A great entrance to any room starts when people feel welcome! Warm fabrics with pops of color set the mood. Towels of course are always going to be a main feature in a bathroom so grab an assortment of them! The inspiration for my bathroom decorating came from this display in
Kohl’s Bed & Bath department.
I honed right away into those
neatly packaged washcloths and saw the color palate I was going to use.
This Harvest Season line at Kohl’s was a terrific deal too. All the items were 60% off. That makes seasonal decorating easy on a budget. So along with the washcloths, I picked up a few of the hand towels and the bath rug.
I used the dark brown as a base color and took advantage of the Buy One Get 1/2 Off sale on
Kohl’s Apt 9 Bath Towels (these are very nice quality towels), and then accented them with a couple of the Harvest Season hand towels.
Now that the linens are looked after, let’s add some inexpensive and fun decorations to the vanity!
I found this beautiful Kohl’s Sonoma pumpkin candle sleeve for 1/2 price at just $4.99!
Of course you could put a large jar candle in it, but I repurposed it as a holder for items our guests might forget to bring like toothpaste/toothbrush, lotion, and bandages.
Everyone wants there bathroom to smell good, right?! That makes these
Sonoma Outlet Wax Warmers perfect for a bathroom.
I found these cute
Chesapeake Bay Pumpkin Pie wax melts for 1/2 price – perfect for a Harvest Season bathroom. They make the room smell so good even when you aren’t melting them.
Then I added a few basic touches of my own. Some burlap wrapped around the disposable cup holder.
And a little coffee station so they can enjoy a fresh cup when they wake up and get ready.
Kohl’s really helped to make our bathroom welcoming for our guests this harvest season!
