This was fun! Y’all. Well that’s how they do it in the south 🙂
I just left Night Owl mama and said I would love to do this type of vlog. As you may know, I am shy when it comes to the camera but this may be fun for me. Thanks. Btw, loved your answers.
Don’t be shy! First of all, you are gorgeous, second you are so sweet! It gets easier the more you do it…promise!
I think it is so funny how people say different things. I’ll ask Zoe if she wants to sit in the basket of the cart. I don’t think you have an accent, loved your answers. I participated as well!
Oh good I need to watch yours! Thanks for saying I don’t have an accent…it was so funny when I was a teenager and visited my cousin who lives in Wisconsin. She and all of her friends thought I REALLY had an accent. I said, “no, you do!”
I think this group of words emphasize everyones accents. Cause I really dont have a bad one here. People down here talk way more country.
I feel that I sound as normal as yall do, except for Blondie. LOL
Oh I still need to watch Blondie’s. It was fun to meet you face to face finally, Jess!
My daughter go around and around about this at the store. I ask her to grab a basket and she always comes back with the one I don’t want! Oh I can’t wait to watch yours!
I don’t think you have an accent. Really, the only difference was how you call it a shopping basket…I just call it a cart, shopping cart, grocery cart…some sort of cart. The basket would be the one that you carry.

I know another thing that people say differently. In CA, they call the freeways “The” 405 or “The” 101. On the EC, they just say “495” or “95”.
Also:
Sprinkles (CA) = Jimmies (EC)
Liquor Store (CA) = Packie (EC) <– Seriously…why is a liquor store called a packie? I have no idea.
Oh that is so true about the freeways. I think east coast also calls them expressways? I know they do in WI where my relatives are. Packie? Seriously? that is so strange 🙂
I haven’t heard expressways out here yet. I’d probably have a quizzical look if someone said that to me. Huh? Is that a store?
LOL That was so much fun! I say it all the same ass you except for the shopping cart.
What a fun idea! 🙂 I should find the linky and listen to other people. It’s so interesting to hear how others say things or what they call certain items.
You should – it’s a blast!
It was funny you said “canyon” instead of “crayon” because when I first looked at it that’s what I saw too. Weird. 🙂
It was crayon? Really? LOL I didn’t even notice that!
