This man is my husband. He is the love of my life, my everything. He is always so sweet to me in so many ways. The latest thing he did just melted my heart.
I was happily working on my laptop last Saturday morning and hubby offered to go grocery shopping for me. Sweet! I cannot stand grocery shopping, and he knows this. So of course I was absolutely delighted. He left and I started working on my blog, checking emails, etc., when *POOF* my laptop turned off. Crap. I pressed the on button – nothing. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. Nope. I removed the battery and replaced it. Not happening. It was as dead as dead gets. I cried. Well I didn’t really cry, first I cursed then I was very, very sad. What was I supposed to do now?
My husband texted me to ask me something about the grocery list and in my reply I said that my laptop had died. He answered back “I’m sorry, baby”.
Well I managed to find a few other things to do, and when hubby walked in the door, he had a bouquet of flowers for me, and a Starbucks. Yep! And not just one Starbucks – but two. Two heavenly White Chocolate Mochas. I gave him hugs and kisses and then he asked, “Sweetheart? How old is your laptop?” I told him it was about three years old and he said, “Well it’s probably time for a new one then”.
Oh happy day!! I gave him more hugs and kisses and I was grinning from ear to ear. I got online and did some research and then went out to look for my new laptop. I found just the right one (with more memory and just better in general than my old one). I purchased this Gateway laptop {which I absolutely love!} and when I returned home and proudly walked through the door, I received another big hug from hubby.
Okay this picture doesn’t really do it justice, but she’s a beauty! Luckily I had just tried out my new external backup device (please, please, read this story about the Clickfree automatic backup device) and had backed up my old laptop just in time. Now all of my important stuff is on my new computer and life is good again!
So honey – I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Not only for these gifts, but for just being so thoughtful always. You are the sweetest man in the world, and I will never understand what I did to deserve you. I am just to grateful and thankful for you – each and every day.
You are my love…my life.
