If You Care
I can’t help but feel a little guilty each time I use plastic bags abpnd other plastic products that harm our environment. When I discovered If You Care products, I was pretty excited, because I DO care!
I don’t have to feel guilty when I pull out a sandwich bag anymore. They are paper and let me tell you, they are STRONG! We used several this weekend when we were down at our new house. We bought a huge box of crackers and my daughter thought that feeding the geese was pretty fun, so she went through quite a few crackers and sandwich bags. My friend and her 6-year old also came over and it was so handy to just give her a baggie of crackers in the If You Care paper sandwich bag for a snack.
Have I mentioned how much I love the packaging? It is so attractive and they look so nice and tidy in my new kitchen drawers 🙂
But more importantly If You Care products are safe for the environment and for consumers. Â It was very interesting looking around on their website and discovering what their products are made of. For instance, If You Care Certified Compostable Trash Bags are made from potato starch from non-GMO starch potatoes blended with a certified, fully compostable polymer. No plasticizers are added. The parchment paper and baking cups are made of silicone, derived from a natural element. There is no chlorine used in production either! I made cookies using the parchment paper, and was really pleased with the results (they are oven safe up to 428 degrees).
The 97% Recycled Post Consumer Trash Bags (I didn’t receive these, but thought this was interesting) are made from 97% recycled post consumer recycled polyethylene, 2% color and 1% virgin polyethylene. These are the first trash bags made from 97% post consumer recycled material. If You Care Recycled Trash Bags reduce CO2 emissions, petroleum consumption and landfill waste.
In addition to baking and kitchen products, If You Care has many other household products – each with a special story. They have Firelighters, Sponge clothes, twine and much more.
There are so many things to love about If You Care products, and I hope you’ll take a look around their website as well. Â I learned so much, and I realize how using their products can help in so many ways. You can purchase If You Care products online, and at retailers such as Whole Foods and others.

*I received the above products, free of charge, to facilitate this review.

Awesome, now I have to start looking out for them here. Thanks!
I, too, always feel slightly guilty when pulling out things like a plastic bag or a paper plate that just end up going in the garbage after one use o.O
It’s good to know that there are companies like this out there that can make us feel less guilty about stuff like that!
Great review 🙂
