When I was younger, I had pretty long hair and it took forever for me to do in the morning between the blow drying and curling into spiral curls or loose waves. And if I wanted really curly hair, I would have to use hot rollers (remember those???) which took even longer. Although I now wear my hair a lot shorter, it still takes some time to get my hair curled and looking good each day. I would love to cut down on the time I need to spend on my hair, so I was excited to try the
Kiss Instawave.

The Kiss Instawave is an automatic curler that is really simple to use. All you have to hold it up to a small section of hair, press the button, and it starts spinning, grabbing a hold of the hair and winding it around the curling wand. Then just hold the wand in place for a few seconds (or longer depending on what kind of curls you want) then pull it straight down to release. Perfect instant curls!

The Kiss Instawave has two heat settings – high and low (be careful though because both settings are hot!). It has a 1-inch size ceramic ionic barrel, which helps protect hair from the heat and keep it shiny and healthy looking. Finally, it has two directional buttons, so you can make either outward or inward curls. Although the Kiss Instawave is designed to be tangle-free, if a tangle does occur then all you have to do is press the button for the opposition direction and it quickly untangles.

I found that the Kiss Instawave was really easy to use and took less time than I usually spend doing my hair. I always have to separate my hair into different sections, and then curl smaller sections one at a time, running the curling iron through a few times before latching it on, winding it up, and waiting. Even then, I don’t always get nice curls. With the Kiss Instawave, although I still separated my hair into sections, it would automatically grab a nice-size section for the perfect curl. I have layered hair, and I found that the Kiss Instawave worked better on the longer layers than the shorter ones, but I was overall pleased with how my hair turned out. I would have loved to try it out on my daughter’s longer hair, but I was only able to get one piece done before she took off running (I don’t think she liked the heat and the sound it made while winding her hair). Maybe she will let me try again someday!

If you are looking for a way to get great-looking curls in a short period of time, I recommend getting a

I haven’t curled my hair in awhile but, wow, this is a cool product. I like that it twirls the hair itself and left you with some really shiny curls. Nice!
