KitchenAid Stand Mixer Giveaway

The weather has turned cold here in California. I’m sure it is nothing compared to the weather back east, but for us it is COLD! Each year when we have to turn the heater on and snuggle inside, I get very inspired to bake! In fact, yesterday I made my first ever carrot cake for my husband. Of course, I used my handy dandy KitchenAid stand mixer (“Old Faithful” I call her), for the cream cheese frosting.

I have had my KitchenAid since my husband and I were first married (19 years ago). My parents gave it to us as a wedding gift, and honestly, it is one of the best (and most used) gifts I have ever received. Much like my mom did, I love to bake. I spent many hours with her in the kitchen when I was a little girl, and luckily picked up on her talents.

Every good baker needs a mixer that is a workhorse. Before my KitchenAid Stand Mixer, I had another brand, and it just couldn’t keep up with me. And besides, what girl doesn’t dream of her very own Kitchen Aid Mixer?

I am SO thrilled to be partnering with a few other bloggers, and Simple Plate (thank you!) to offer a KitchenAid to one of our lucky readers!

If you are the lucky winner, you might enjoy one of these recipes of mine that you can make with your new mixer:

Heavenly Southern Pecan Tarts – this was my mom’s recipe, handed down from her mother (from Mississippi!).

Candy Showers Cookie Bar – full of chocolate and peanut butter…simply amazing!

  10. I would looooovvvee to make gumdrop cookies, cake, and muffins. I have been waiting 4ever to make gumdrop cookies, but I just haven’t had the time, and it would be sooooo much easier if I had a kitchen maid mixer. The oats and everything in the dough make it so heavy! Plus, who doesn’t love having yummy lemon or cheesy garlic muffins for breakfast and sweet vanilla cake with a little bit (ok, A LOT) of homemade vanilla ice-cream (made with your kitchen aid mixer of course!)?

  11. I’ve been in a Holiday baking mood lately (Christmas cookies, etc), so I might make sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies, and peanut butter brownies.

  16. First, I would make peanut butter cookies because those are my husband’s favorite. Then I would make some salted caramel cookies because that is the next cookie recipe I want to try. Then I would make a loaf of bread from a recipe my sister-in-law passed along after six months of begging for it.

  17. Debi would make chocolate chip cookies, mashed potatoes, and homemade frosting. She would do it because she is a better cook.

  18. First I would do banana bread…just tried to do by spoon mixing and was not good. Second, my very favorite dessert…turtle cheesecake. And then would use for a German Chocolate homemade cake that my husband is waiting for since mid Oct…our anniversary.
