Lands End FlightWise Carry-On Wheeled Duffel Bag Review
I have taken quite a few blogger related trips in the past few months, but one major issue I had until recently is that I didn’t have a good piece of carry on luggage to take on the plane with me. For the first couple of trips, I lugged my really heavy {17″ screen} laptop around in a case on my shoulder. This was no easy task, but I had to have my laptop with me. I decided on my last blogging trip {before BlogHer} that I needed a rolling bag to cart my laptop and other items in. I needed something big enough to fit toiletries and a change of clothes in too.
Lands End is a very reputable company – I have adored them for years. When I was approached to review one of their FlightWise brand carry-on bags, I jumped at the chance. I looked around at their very impressive selection, and finally decided on the Lands End FlightWise Carry-On Wheeled Duffel Bag. What I liked about the one I chose is that I can pack larger things in there, whereas with other “suitcase” type carry-ons, I cannot. It is also very flexible. It has handles, to be carried like a regular duffel bad, if desired. It is very durable and well made {as are all of Lands End products}.
The Lands End FlightWise Carry-On Wheeled Duffel Bag is available in four colors, and can be monogrammed, if desired. Other features of this bag are:
Fits all standard overhead storage
Telescoping handle slips completely inside bag
Feet on wheeled end let the bag stand upright
Tough, lightweight ballistic ripstop fabric
One outside zip pocket, one inside
Handy Travel Kit meets all TSA guidelines
14″Wx9″Dx22″H. Weighs 4lbs., 11oz.

Fees to check a bag can add $50 to the cost of a round trip. So the FlightWise Carry-on Wheeled Duffle is designed to fit in all standard overhead storage spaces, saving you money with every flight. It’s made from 600 denier ballistic ripstop polyester lined in 210D polyester: a tough yet lightweight combination (because you also have to consider that 44 lb. weight limit).
To help you breeze through inspections, we include a Travel Kit: a clear zippered bag holding unbreakable flip-top bottles, spray bottles and more for shampoo, lotion, etc. (Bag is sized at 1 quart and bottles are all 3 oz. or less, meeting TSA guidelines.) The bag’s top snaps to the sides, to fit better into snug overheads.
I was surprised to discover the great selection of luggage available at Lands End. They have garment bags, tote bags, diaper bags, briefcases and laptop bags, and so much more. The price of the item I reviewed is $129.00. This price is so reasonable for a piece of luggage that will last though the years – while remaining stylish and functional.
Need more to love about Lands End? I just discovered that they have a live chat feature on their website. I really think more companies should offer this. For me, it makes me shop more confidently, knowing my questions will be answered right then and there.

That’d be perfect for traveling! Especially quick trips, it looks like I’d be able to fit everything in there. Oh who am I kidding, but at least it’d fit my shoes 😀

Wish I had known about this bag before I bought a different one for my nephew’s graduation gift earlier this summer. That’s a great price, and I’ve always been impressed with Land’s End quality.
(Whoever invented rolling luggage is a genius!!)
