Love is in the air at our house and the countdown to Valentine’s Day is on! I am always on the hunt for simple crafts to do with the kids. I love craft bloggers, I really do. But I need straightforward and easy to make things with my children that won’t break the bank. And, if I can find all of the supplies in my house, even better! Today, I’m pleased to present this easy toddler music maker! We used MIKE AND IKE® Passion Mix Candy from PEEPS & COMPANY® as our noise maker. They worked just perfectly!

Supplies needed to make this easy toddler music maker:

Easy Toddler Music Maker Supplies

  • Plastic water/soda bottle, rinsed out and dried
  • Washi tape
  • MIKE AND IKE® Passion Mix Candy

Method:

This is super simple to do. Place the tape around the bottle as “trim” and invite your child to play.

As soon as Lola sat down, she knew exactly what to do. She got busy dropping the MIKE AND IKE® Passion Mix Candy into the bottle. She didn’t realize it, but she’s working hard on her pincher grasp and hand eye coordination while she worked. Sharpening these skills will serve her well when she’s older, she needs both of them to write!

  1. the original yellow peeps are my favorite, but i think that the chocolate covered peeps might become my new favorite, i haven’t tried those yet.

  2. Ever since I was a kid ( a very long time ago), I’ve loved the good old yellow chick Peeps. But I have yet to try the chocolate-covered ones, which I think sound yummy!

  3. While I love my peeps, especially at Easter time, I’m a Mike & Ike girl. I get the craving quite often and love the original flavors best.

  4. My family and I love the Peeps. It doesn’t matter what flavor they are. We like to put them in the microwave and watch them get really big and then put some chocolate and graham crackers with them.

  5. I love the chocolate covered bunnies, frozen! This is a great prize, thank you so much for the opportunity!

  6. My favorite PEEPS product is PEEPS Milk Chocolate Dipped Marshmallow Orange Chicks. I started eating Peeps when I was very young. The first favor was the yellow. So good, life long lover now.

  7. I didn’t realize they were responsible for so much! Lots of great stuff, but I’m still an original Peeps gal. Easter always made me happy because the marshmallow Peeps would be in stores. I don’t care what color or animal, though I’m drawn to the yellow ducks & the purple bunnies especially. Yummm
