Mohawk Select Pembroke Florentino Rug

When we replaced our wall-to-wall carpet with laminate flooring a couple of years ago, we knew we would need several area rugs to break up the rooms a bit. Finding the right size and style was a little bit tricky though, as in our family room we still kind of wanted most of the room to have a carpet, leaving the floor exposed on the edges.

We also needed something very durable (we have three indoor kitties – need I say more?). We did find an area rug for the family room that worked just fine. Over time though, it was become rather “tired” looking.

OLD RUG IN FAMILY ROOM

Yes, it was definitely time for a new rug, to make our family room “pop” again and to freshen it up. We wanted something bigger as well, so I was delighted when Mohawk offered me a new 8 x 10 rug to review. The only problem (if you can call it that) was trying to find the right rug for us, as Mohawk has so many color, design and style choices! Our choice? The Mohawk Select Select Pembroke Florentino Rug:

Isn’t it beautiful? The day it arrived was one very happy day for us. It was packaged so neatly and it was in perfect condition. I couldn’t wait for the big reveal. We laid it out and swooned. Yes, we swooned! Of course, the cats had to give it their seal of approval, and boy did they approve.

This rug fits perfectly in our family room! It is larger than our previous rug, and it looks so nice with our laminate flooring. It is a combination of tan, rust, dark brown and a kind of amber color. The colors are so vibrant without being overwhelming. The quality is amazing – there are no oddball strings sticking out (like is sometimes found on other rugs), and the edges are finished perfectly.

 

Since my husband has back problems, he frequently lies on the floor to do some stretching. He is delighted that this one is much more comfortable than our previous rug.

I think this gorgeous Mohawk rug is going to last us for years, and that is saying quite a bit for us, as a family who practically lives in the…family room!

Wow they have such a Huge selection its hard to narrow it down to one but I do like this one very much its the Mohawk Select Metal Flake Foxfire Spring Gold Shag Rug available at Walmart, I like the solid gold color and think it would go very nice in my bedroom, we have hardwood flooring but I still prefer area rugs to add some warmth to the floor in a few areas
