I am SO very excited to do this post – for several reasons! Of course the iPad giveaway is incredibly exciting, but even more exciting is what is going on at the Monster.com Success Stories Community! Monster Success Stories is an effort to encourage hope and optimism through the sharing of successful job-search stories and practical advice.

We all know how tough the economy is right now, but monster.com is here to help!

Monster Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: MWW) is the parent company of Monster.com, the premier global online employment solution for people seeking jobs and the employers who need great people. We’ve been doing this for over ten years, and have expanded from our roots as a “job board” to a global provider of a full array of job seeking, career management, recruitment and talent management products and services. At the heart of our success and our future is innovation: we are changing the way people think about work, and we’re helping them actively improve their lives and their workforce performance with new technology, tools and practices.

People are encouraged to go to www.success.monster.com or to www.facebook.com/monsterww and share their inspirational stories of finding just the right job on Monster.com or to share general tips and advice.

“There’s a misperception that job seekers are sacrificing the opportunity to pursue a career that leverages their passion and skills as a result of a challenging job market,” said Ted Gilvar, global chief marketing officer, Monster. “Success Stories demonstrates that our precision matching technology innovation is helping people find their calling.”

Greg Drevenstedt, road test editor for Rider Magazine, found his dream job on Monster.com on the very first day of his job search. Greg now travels the world testing and evaluating new motorcycles and gear, while writing stories and shooting video about his experiences. A video of Greg’s story is posted on the site to motivate and encourage others to share their own stories.

The site also includes video profiles of Alexis Tirado, the head blogger for Alicia Keys’ new website – IAmASuperWoman.com – and Dan Blasini, who found a job he is passionate about working with injured soldiers returning from war.

People who share stories of how they found the perfect job using Monster.com will be eligible to win one of six prize packages. Winners will be chosen on or around October 6, November 8 and December 6, 2010. For more details, go to www.success.monster.com.
