Muttles Collectible Pups Review

I was a child of the “Beanie Baby” collectibles and today my children have their own collectibles….Silly Bandz, Zhu Zhu Pets, WebKinz, Squinkies and now Muttles!  Muttles are the newest line of collectible toys for children and they may easily become the next plush toy craze.

Muttles collectible puppies come in a cute little package that has a “sneak peek” window of your new Muttle inside. Inside the package is a 3″ cross breed little puppy, a tattoo set, an adoption certificate with an online code and 2 trading cards. Muttles have really cute dog names such as Labradoodle, Puggle, etc.

Inspired by creative combination dog breed names like Labradoodle , and the fun of trying to figure out what two original breeds brought them about, resulted in a Whole New Hybreed of Fun – Muttles! Cute collectibles combined with a family friendly website that lets fans do a little “Social Petworking.” The site aims to offer plenty of customization and sharing for Muttles owners without collecting any personal information that might raise concerns about privacy. In fact, there isn’t even an opportunity to type your real name!

I loved the size of these collectible mini plush dogs because at 3″ they easily fit in the palm of your hand. They were also easy for the kids to carry around in their pockets, purse pockets and backpacks and didn’t take up a lot of space. My kids especially loved that you could take your Muttle online to a virtual world of fun. They were able to register their puppy, give it a name and then build a puppy profile at Muttles.com by entering its name, birthday and gender.

Best of all, there was an entire menu of extra features including tricks, best friends, toys, food, etc. There is even a safe and secure “petworking” site where you can share your dog’s page, view the brag book and play online games with other Muttles owners. Best of all, the online fun is entirely free once you register your Muttles puppy!

Muttles are currently available in 8 varieties and 4 rare versions. There are 44 collectors cards that feature Muttles breed cards, vacations/trips and more. At only $3.99 per package, Muttles make great rewards for chore charts, good grades, birthdays, stocking stuffers or “just because I love you” gifts.
