Iconic characters created by Dr. Seuss like Sam I Am, and The Cat in the Hat, all come to life like never before in the Dr. Seuss Deluxe Books App! This new app is right on time to download in celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 3rd.
It’s also right on time for us too because our toddler Kairo (3) enjoys story time, but he’s also more interested in learning on smart devices like the iPhone and iPad. The new Dr. Seuss app takes reading to a whole new level.
The free download includes 1 free book.
The New Dr. Seuss Deluxe Books App Helps Kids Read
I was able to download the app from the Apple App Store and got started by myself first because I wanted to take a few moments to get familiar with the app before sitting down with Kairo.
Kairo was immediately drawn to this new Dr. Seuss Deluxe Books App because he heard the fun and distinct narration that kids really respond to. He ran over and began to take control of everything… This new app is so intuitive!
It also features fun animations and educational activities on every page, including spelling, sorting, rhyming, phonics, puzzles, memory, word search, sequence, and more.
17 Dr. Seuss Titles In One fantastic App!
There are 17 best-selling Dr. Seuss books available to download now which include, “Dr. Seuss‘s ABC,” “The Cat in the Hat,” “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” and “The Lorax,” among others.
These titles have delighted children and adults for generations and every Christmas we enjoy watching the 1966 animated classic, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”, so it’s easy to see how Dr. Seuss books continue to transcend generations and continue to bring new innovations to the books.
Having all of these titles in one app is just amazing.
Interactive Illustrations
I think the best part about The Dr. Seuss Deluxe Books app is that all of the same enchanting illustrations are 100% interactive because everything comes to life!
The story is narrated as the words are highlighted, helping children to follow along. Not to mention the hidden treasures waiting to be discovered on each page. Kairo tapped on everything to find them.
Reveal the names of characters and bonus games (pictured below) just by tapping on the images. It’s all done so well!
Download this app, then it is extremely easy to get started.
Track Your Child’s Progress
The goal of this app is to get kids reading and interacting, so The Dr. Seuss Deluxe App allows you to track important stats like how many books your child has read and the hours they are reading. It’s a great feature that lets you know how your child is enjoying the books and how much they’re discovering within the story.
These classic stories have always been great first reader books because the words rhyme and typically repeat which helps to build confidence in reading.
Sight words are a super important first step to getting kids into reading because once they learn a few recurring words that do not require them to sound out each letter, they can easily move through the story and stay engaged with what’s happening.
Kairo is not reading on his own just yet, however I love The Dr. Seuss app because he’s being introduced to reading in a fun and hands on way that appeals to his age group.

I always loved Green Eggs and Ham, along with The Cat In The Hat. These just happen to be the first titles we tried out. There’s one part where Sam I Am is holding the platter of green eggs and ham, and Kairo was able to sway the iPhone from side to side, to try to get Sam’s friend to eat them. We laughed together.
