Ahhh Summer is finally in full swing, and that means that families everywhere are planning fun adventures. Some might go visit relatives, others might head to the beach for a few days to swim, build sand castles and soak up some sun. The more adventurous types might be heading out for theme parks, hiking trails or camping fun. Although the latter are the ones who are more prone to get cuts and bruises, I don’t take chances – no matter what we are doing.
My husband sometimes makes fun of me when we are about to travel, as I tend to “pack the whole house”, as he puts it. Obviously he is exaggerating, but I do like to be prepared for any situation. I pack soap, nail clippers, a sewing kit, and medical supplies, amongst other things. If someone has a belly ache, I am the one they come to, as they know I have something that will help. When they get a scratch or cut, guess who they come to? Me, of course. They know I always have a supply of bandages on hand, and that I will have them back in action in no time.
