Have I got some fun things for you! First, I want to tell you about an awesome contest from Chef Boyardee, then I am going to tell you about the Chef Boyardee party my daughter and I hosted for a few of her friends!
The Chef Boyardee contest
Love groceries? Love free groceries? Well you are in luck! You can create your own recipe using Chef Boyardee products (just like I did below), and submit it for a chance to win free groceries for a whole year! In addition to the grand prize, there are even weekly winners, who will each receive a $500 prize and $75 in coupons. Not too shabby!
How to enter:
From now through March 11, 2012, you can submit an original recipe that uses Chef Boyardee as an ingredient. All you have to do is upload a photo of the recipe, and mention how you and your family enjoy it!
Each week, a winner will be chosen based on creativity, all-family appeal, ease of preparation, and palatable appeal by an expert panel of judges. The weekly winner receives a $500 prize as well as $75 in Chef coupons. If you don’t win in one week, you can re-enter again the next week!
Each of the top ten finalists from all the accumulated weeks will have the chance to win the grand prize of free groceries for a year.
The voting period will last from March 26th through April 8th, 2012. Voters get entered into a daily sweepstakes for the chance to win $100. If you decide to share it on Facebook you’ll get an extra sweepstakes entry.
Make sure you enter the Make it Boyardeelicious Recipe Contest on the Chef Boyardee Facebook page for a chance to win a grand prize of free groceries for a year.
Our very own Chef Boyardee party and original recipe
My daughter, her friends and I decided to make a Chef Boyardee Ravioli Casserole. I made sure I had all ingredients on hand so that we were ready to cook when they arrived. One of her friends donned the cute Chef Boyardee Chef’s Hat and apron that we received in our party pack…she looked adorable 🙂
Ingredients for Ravioli Casserole:
- 3 cans Chef Boyardee Ravioli
- 1 bag tortilla chips
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Sour Cream (optional)
We crumbled tortilla chips and lined the bottom of our baking pan
We then used 1 1/2 cans of raviolis and placed them on top of the chips.
We added half of the cheddar cheese and sprinkled it over the raviolis.
Next we placed whole tortilla chips on top of the cheese, added another layer of ravioli (the remaining can and a half), and topped with the remainder of shredded cheese.
We baked our casserole at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, until the cheese was melted and everything was warmed throughout.
Here are a few of the party-goers enjoying themselves:
There might have even been some dancing going on. A happy dance perhaps?
The finished product – voila!
Everyone loved the Chef Boyardee Ravioli Casserole recipe we created and we polished off every last drop. It was really, really good – and incredibly easy to make. I will definitely be making this recipe again, as I usually have all of the ingredients on hand, and it is definitely a family pleaser! I will also be checking out the recipes on the Chef Boyardee website for more inspiration. Who knew that so many things could be made with Chef Boyardee products?
*I wrote this review while participating in a In Home Party campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Chef Boyardee and received product samples to facilitate my party and review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
