I posted a few weeks ago about the “test drive” that my daughter is doing for Bausch & Lomb Soflens Disposable Daily Contact Lenses. Her supply of lenses arrived and we were so incredibly happy. She participates in Sea Scouts, and they do quite a bit of vigorous activities, which would be a little hard to do in glasses, for one thing. She also told me that her eyes don’t feel as strained while wearing contacts (unlike glasses which sometimes make her eyes tired).
What does she like most about the Bausch & Lomb Soflens Disposable Daily contact lenses? Well, for starters, she absolutely loves that she can throw them away each night! Oh what I would have given when I was a teen, to have this option. After a long, tiring day (or even a good day), she can simply remove the lenses and chuck them in the garbage. Each and every day she gets to use a brand spankin’ new set of contact lenses, which get her day off to a good start, and not feeling like “uh oh – this pair feels old and scratchy”.
She has tried several brands of contact lenses, so the transition was not difficult for her. Although she struggled with inserting contacts for a bit when she first started wearing them, she is now a pro. She does feel much, much more confident wearing contacts, and it shows. She is 15-years old and that is such a trying and stressful time at school. Not only the school work, but the issues of ‘fitting in’ and first impressions that seem to often rattle teens. She is also thrilled that she doesn’t have to wear glasses during P.E.
Talking to your teen about difficult subjects can be tricky, but luckily my daughter and I are always very open and honest with each other. We have talked about some difficult topics, but for us, it is never awkward and she pretty much tells me everything. I can tell by just talking with her, how much better she feels since she started wearing contacts. As a mother, I feel good knowing that we are doing all that we can to keep her eyes safe and healthy. See this smile?
My daughter is happy, and that means I am a happy mom.
If your child needs contacts, I think you will be so pleased with the Bausch & Lomb Soflens Daily Disposable contact lenses. If YOU need them, I think you will also be pretty darned happy!
