PACIFICA PERFUME REVIEW

March 7, 2009 by Jennifer Leave a Comment

perfume bottles

I have discovered the neatest little things. They are solid perfume tins from Pacifica Perfume. When these arrived for my review, my daughter and I were fascinated with these. They are small, lightweight tins, about the size of a quarter, filled with solid perfume. The tins are gorgeous, and they come in cute little slide-out boxes with the same design. I immediately thought how convenient these would be to stick in a purse, or even a pocket when you want an “on-the-go” scent. An advantage of the Solid Perfumes is that they are spill-free – I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had regular perfumes leak in my purse, into my gum…yuck!

Alongside my list of non-toxic shampoos, Pacifica Solid Perfumes are comprised of a 100% organic soy and coconut wax base. The perfume blends are made with sustainable and safe raw materials. They are free of parabens, propylene glycol, phthalates and lead wicks. Products from every batch are randomly tested to ensure that the company’s high quality standards are met. How cool is that? The outer packaging of the Pacifica Solid Perfumes is made with post-consumer content and the Solid Perfume tins are completely recyclable. If that isn’t enough reason to love these little treasures, let me tell you more!

I was lucky enough to review their newest scent – Lotus Garden – before it even hit stores! It is now available at the Pacifica website, as well as Sephora and Sephora.com. This is a dreamy fragrance with hints of lotus, jasmine, and a citrus top note. The scent reminded me of a tropical island…really!

French Lilac and Orange Blossom

I also had the pleasure of trying the Perfume Solids in French Lilac, Nerola Orange Blossom, (both of these previously unavailable as Solid Perfumes) and the Hawaiian Ruby Guava. They were all heavenly. I found each of these scents to be very light and fresh, yet they are all distinctive. I wish I could tell you that one of them is my personal favorite, but honestly, I can’t do that. All of these are delectable. I just wanted to drink them in. I can’t wait to wear these fragrances in the summertime – they just scream out (quietly of course!) sunshine and good times. Of course, I’ve found that wearing these in the winter months is an excellent way to get out of that “wintertime funk”. I also tried The Mexican Cocoa. It has a mild, chocolate scent that would be best for fall and winter.

Other options

In addition to the Solid Perfumes, Pacifica also carries Spray Perfumes, Body Butter, Natural Soap, Candles, Body Wash and Body Lotion in all of your favorite scents! Not only will you smell beautiful, your entire house will smell just as lovely.

You can order Pacifica Solid Perfume or any of their other wonderful products online at the Pacifica website. This Spring, select Pacifica products will be available at Sephora, Whole Foods markets, Fred Segal’s and other national and regional chains, boutiques and spas! It’s nice to have a few options when ordering these wonderful products. Get ready to stock up, Spring is just around the corner!
