Since I started oil painting a few years back, I love pretty much anything to do with painting (even painting walls!). At almost any time, you can find me with paint on my hands. Sometimes though I want to just relax and not have to do much thinking about what I am going to paint. That’s why paint by numbers for adults is so nice.

I have tried painting by numbers before, but they always had either super tiny spaces, or you had to mix two or three of the colors just to get another color. I found that more aggravating than relaxing, so I stopped buying those types of kits and ultimately just stopped painting them altogether. Recently however, I saw one of my daughter’s paintings and I was blown away.

Now, paint by numbers have come a long way. They look like real paintings, and they can definitely be framed and hung with pride!

Painting by numbers is so incredibly relaxing. I work from home, and when I need a break, this is a great way to clear my head. Or when I just need a little quiet time to myself, I head straight to my painting area. It is something that makes me happy and I always look forward to it.

There are quite a few places online that sell paint by number sets, but I really like the selection at Winnie’s Picks, and I also like how helpful their website is. If you are new to the world of paint by numbers, you will find all kinds of help there.

Whatever your interests are, you will find something to paint! More than likely, you will find several things you want to paint and will have a hard time deciding. That is what always with me at least. If you like animals (most of us do!), they have paint by numbers of cats, dogs, horses, birds, and many others. I wouldn’t even know where to begin – I can think of SO many photos that I would love to have them make into a paintable canvas for me.

It always makes me a little sad as I finish up one painting, but I am always excited to start a new one. I tend to order my next painting shortly before I finish one, so I can start right away on my new masterpiece.
