Peaceable Kingdom began in 1983 and since then has become an industry leader in educational stickers, greeting cards, and corporative games that stimulate and inspire.

They have a mission to: Make good, do good, be good! It is what I try to teach my girls as well. I love this mission statement!

The products that Peaceable Kingdom make, such as the awesome Owl Diary above, use materials that are sustainable such as recycled papers, soy based inks, and corn-based plastics. Owls are so popular with the young girls right now and my oldest loves her diary. She may not write in hers everyday but for sure at least once a week. I wish I would have saved mine from when I was that age. It would be so much fun going back and reading my 9 year old thoughts today. Don’t you agree?

Peaceable Kingdom works with independent game developers and illustrators to bring your family products that help you all connect with each other. The games are of very high quality and get you to use your imagination.

One of the games that Peaceable Kingdom generously sent us is called Noodle Speedoodle. Can you guess what you do from the name? Opening the box you will find a whole bunch of “noodles” in different shapes and sizes, a spinner, cards, and a small dry erase board. The object of the game is to get the other players to guess what you are drawing on the dry erase board, but you have to use the noodle in your drawing! Oh yeah, it’s timed! If you guess correctly you get to keep the noodle. Sound easy? Nope it is not! But it sure was fun and we laugh a ton while playing it!

Ages on this game are 8 to adult and that is a true recommendation. My 7 year old struggled with some of the words and when I told her what it was sometimes she couldn’t figure out how to draw it with the noodle. However, she was really getting it at the end of the game and has only gotten better. I just have to help her out when we play with some ideas.

As a girl scout leader I loved that Peaceable Kingdom opened it doors to a local troop and learned about a women-owned business. I try to teach my Daisies and Brownies all about girl power! Peaceable Kingdom encourages their employees to be actively involved in organizations that support the company’s mission. Isn’t it a little easier when you are spending your money on gifts for your family or friends to know that the company you are buying from is just plain awesome?

My daughter’s had a ball with What’s It? There was really no loser so the youngest didn’t feel like she always loses to her big sisters. You play together! Everyone has a dry erase board and marker. One player rolls the dice and to find out the category. Then you flip a card, set the timer, and get ready because now you have to answer what you think that doodle might be. You are trying to think like the other players because the way the “players” win against the “doodler” is by matching your answers.
Ages on this one also 8 to adult but I played as a team with my 5 year old and she got it, she just doesn’t spell much yet. Imagine your next game night laughing with your kids and not playing against them but with them. That is What’s It?

Peaceable Kingdom wants to bring smiles to your family’s faces. By creating award-winning children’s products they are able to do that. They keep their own team connected and happy by celebrating birthdays, having wellness classes, and on going training.
My 5 year old would love this game! I always say you should visit your local toy store first. There is so much magic for your children to experience there and our family supports local first! However, if you live in an area that does not have a toy store you can purchase Hoot Owl Hoot, and all the rest of the products from Peaceable Kingdom on Amazon.
My girls are like most other kids. If you give them the option to sit in front of an iPad playing a video game they will. We don’t let them. Games are huge in our house and the nice part about the Peaceable Kingdom games I received is that they can play by themselves if I am doing something else. But who am I kidding, when they pull out Noodle Speedoodle I am right there with them playing along! Whether it is an addition to your own game closet or you are looking for a perfect gift for a friend you will find something unique and special at Peaceable Kingdom. Like them on Facebook to find out when they release new products!
