I know first hand that sick DOES gets real. I remember when my kids were small and all of the fun sick times (yep – that’s sarcasm). I always dreaded when they got a cold or the flu, as I knew we were in for the long haul, with lots of runny noses, complaining, tissues, lack of sleep and medicine.   So what does a mother do when her child gets sick? Well in addition to lots of sympathy, us moms give our kids medicine to help alleviate the icky symptoms that the kids are suffering from. Luckily we can count on the pediatric brands of Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Pfizer children’s medicines offer solutions for sick kids with these three products which are formulated especially for kids –  Children’s Advil®, Children’s Robitussin® and Children’s Dimetapp®.

My own kids have been sick during the holidays on more than one occasion. Why does this always happen during the time of the year when kids are so excited for the holidays? It isn’t really fair to the parents either, or the whole household for that matter. Sneezing and coughing can definitely keep the whole house awake, which makes it hard for everyone to function the next day.

In addition to medicine, there are a few other things I would typically do to keep my kids comfortable when they were sick with holiday germs. I made sure they washed their hands often, using antibacterial soap. I made them chicken noodle soup (because it always goes well with colds!).  To keep from spreading their germs, I wiped down their toys and other belongings with antibacterial wipes.

There is no reason to fret if your child gets sick, because there IS relief!

Pfizer children’s medicine offers something for every need, when your kids get sick. For those uncomfortable aches and pains,  Children’s Advil® Suspension*, is a great solution. In addition to dealing with aches and pains, it also helps to reduce fever quickly. It is  for kids as young as 2 and up to 11 years of age. Children’s Advil® comes in several yummy flavors, including: Sugar-free Dye-free Berry, Bubble Gum, Grape, Blue Raspberry, Fruit and Dye-Free White Grape flavors. I LOVE that they offer a selection of flavors (including Infants’ Advil® in White Grape flavor), as not all kids are fond of just one of the flavors. That can make giving medicine a little tricky sometimes. Another handy thing is that it comes with a syringe, which makes it easier to dose babies & toddlers. Thank you Pfizer!

Next up is  Children’s Robitussin® DM Day/Night Pack – Children’s Robitussin® Cough & Chest Congestion for ages 4+ and Children’s Robitussin® Nighttime Cough for ages 6+. These are available in non-drowsy daytime formula helps break up chest congestion, while the long-acting nighttime formula relieves these pesky coughs and runny noses that typically keep the whole household awake.  When children are able to sleep and their coughs are quieted, they are able to get the rest they need.

Last but most definitely not least, is Children’s Dimetapp® Cold & Cough for ages 6+. This covers a child’s most annoying and bothersome stuffy and runny nose, but it also helps to relieve coughing and itchy, watery eyes.
